Another amazing ladies run on Thursday evening with beautiful views ❤️. Such a joy running with other amazing women and getting to know everyone. The next one is the 13th of August - if you’ve been thinking of coming along you’d be very welcome and looked after 😊.

A fantastic turnout from Newquay Running Club at last Wednesday's Turkey Trot! 🦃🏃
It was great to see so many of our members out representing the club on another warm summer evening. The Turkey Trot is always a popular fixture in the Cornish racing calendar, with its friendly atmosphere, fast course and plenty of support along the way.
Whether you were chasing a PB, racing for points or simply enjoying the evening with friends, it was another brilliant night of running.
Well done to everyone who took part and flew the black and white club colours! 💙🖤👏

🏆 June Athlete of the Month – Lisa Talling 🏆

A huge congratulations to Lisa Talling, our June Athlete of the Month!

Lisa is a fantastic example of resilience and determination.

Last year, Lisa took on the incredible Scilly 60, a unique marathon where runners race across several of the Isles of Scilly. The challenge isn't just the distance. You also have to beat the boat to the next island. Miss the boat, and your race is over.

Last year, Lisa reached the final boat but missed it by just a matter of seconds. With some unfinished business, she returned this year determined to finish what she started.

Not only did she make the final boat with time to spare, she went on to complete the entire race. 💪

Lisa's achievement is a brilliant reminder that setbacks don't have to be the end of the story. Sometimes they simply make the success even sweeter.

A huge well done, Lisa. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏🖤💙

🎉 Newquay Carnival Mile – This Saturday! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Come along and support this fantastic community event as the Newquay Carnival Mile returns to the streets of Newquay.

The race starts at 5.55pm outside The Fort Inn and winds through the town just before the carnival parade begins. With hundreds of spectators expected, it's set to be a brilliant atmosphere for runners and supporters alike.

Another busy week of racing for Newquay Road Runners! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

On the hottest June day ever recorded, 19 of our runners took on the Aggie 5 Miler, a challenging and picturesque route around St Agnes Beacon and St Agnes Head. Despite the soaring temperatures, there were some fantastic performances, with several runners picking up age category prizes along the way.

The weekend then brought two very different challenges. Louise C-D and Samantha J tackled the unique Hourglass event at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre, completing an impressive seven laps each in this demanding last-person-standing race.

Meanwhile, Rose H continued her excellent form at the Ladies 10k in Newton Abbot, finishing in a superb 3rd place overall.

Whatever the distance or challenge, it's always great to see Newquay Road Runners representing the club across Cornwall and beyond. Well done to everyone who took part! 👏💙

Ladies Social Running - summer series number 4 ❤️. Last Thursday we had sixteen lovely ladies, lots of chatter as we trotted around a rough 5K loop . Good to see a couple of new faces as well as regulars . Bonus of a dry run 💕 Well done all 👏
