Good result for our wee two’s yesterday with a 2-0 win in this pre-season friendly.
Down to ten men for the second half but great goals from Taylor Reid and Adam Lewis saw us run out comfortably.

🔵 Mossley FC 3-0 Markethill Swifts 🔵

A slow first half saw Mossley create a couple of chances, but neither side could find the breakthrough.

The second half was a completely different story, with Mossley clicking into gear and finding the opener through a bullet header from Jack Patton.

Shortly after, Ryan Sands poked home the second before Caolan O’Loan rounded off the scoring to complete a 3-0 victory.

A strong second-half performance and a clean sheet to progress!

A big thank you to Markethill Swifts for making the trip to Ballyearl by the bus load and for their fantastic support. We wish you all the very best for the season ahead.

Mossley 2014s at Markethill Tournament 🏆⚽

Saturday morning saw both Mossley 2014 sides make the trip down to Markethill for a tournament.

Mossley FC were drawn in Group A, with Mossley Youth in Group B. The tournament was played on two smaller-sized pitches with 7-a-side goals, which meant goals were certainly at a premium!

🔵 Mossley FC

Mossley FC started with two 0-0 draws against Tandragee and Markethill Swifts. Despite being the better side in both games, they just couldn’t find the breakthrough.

Their final Group A game against Loughgall was a feisty affair, with Mossley coming out 1-0 winners.

That result saw Mossley FC top their group and qualify for the semi-finals! 👏

🟡Mossley Youth

Mossley Youth got off to a flying start with a 1-0 victory over Crumlin. ⚽

They followed that up with two hard-fought 0-0 draws against Ridgeway and Cookstown Youth, which was enough to see the boys also qualify for the semi-finals! 👏👏

⚔️ An all-Mossley semi-final!

As fate would have it, the two Mossley teams found themselves facing each other in the semi-final!

It was a very competitive game between two sides who know each other extremely well, with Mossley FC eventually running out 2-0. ⚽⚽

Credit to both teams for a great game played in the right spirit. 👏

🏆 The Final

In the final, Mossley FC once again came up against Loughgall.

Just like their group game, there was very little between the two sides and it always looked like one goal would decide it.

With the game heading towards 0-0 and penalties, Mossley were desperately unlucky to concede a very unfortunate late goal, resulting in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

👏 A massive well done to both Mossley teams on a fantastic morning of football. Both sets of players and coaches can be extremely proud of their performances.

A special mention as well to all the parents and supporters who made the long journey down to Markethill early on a Saturday morning. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated! 💙⚽

✍️ New Signing | Caolan O'Loan

We're delighted to announce the signing of Caolan O'Loan.

Caolan joins Mossley despite attracting plenty of interest from a number of other clubs, and we're delighted to have secured his signature.

Having previously played for Newtowne and Wakehurst, Caolan is a hard-working, tricky and pacy winger who loves to get at defenders and create chances in the final third. His energy, direct style of play and willingness to work for the team will be a great addition to the squad.

We're excited to see what Caolan can bring in a Mossley shirt.
