Let talk about Fainting…
Fainting is caused by a temporary reduction in the blood supply to the brain. It bay begin with a feeling of dizziness and lead to collapse, and the most common causes are:
🟢 Injury
⚪️ Illness
🟢 Fatigue
⚪️ Long periods in a hot stuffy atmosphere
🟢 Long periods of standing still
Would you know what to do if someone near was about to faint??
🟢 Reassure them
⚪️ Advise them to breath deeply but slowly
🟢 Lay them down and raise their legs
⚪️ Loosen any tight clothing
🟢 Ask bystanders to leave to help casualty remain calm
⚪️ When they recover give them sips of water
Would you know what to do if you come across someone has already fainted??
🟢 Check they are breathing normally
⚪️ Raise their legs
🟢 If they do not come around quickly and you are sure they are breathing normally, place them in the recovery position
⚪️ Call 999/ 112
