This week, we continued our in-depth look at various plays of Ringeck's streichen. We covered a lot of ground but found time to have some really useful discussion about the techniques, following this with, a short look at some associated actions or sparring. A most enjoyable class!

Last week we had a slightly smaller class but this made for a nice relaxed look at streichen and a few options, tying in with techniques from previous sessions. Great work by everyone who attended. The evening was rounded out with some light sparring and further discussion.

Once again, apologies for the late post - we have been busy training, honest! A few photos here from the last couple of weeks, working through actions from the bind later followed by exploring the "failer" and then verkeher. After some quite in depth study, we closed out each evening with either sparring or further practice.

A bit late posting these, but over the last couple of weeks we continued our exploration of winding and later introduced the concept of "failing" in order to try and prompt a desired response from our partner. As ever, the evening has rounded out with some sparring or continued practice.

Last week we began to look at windings, navigating our way through some of the concepts behind such an important component of Medieval German longsword fencing. Plenty of practical application was used to support the theory. Good work by all.
Finally, thanks to Tom for an interesting warm-up!

Our last session was all about distance and timing plus a flow drill combining quite a bit of recent technique with some core guards. As ever, we rounded out the evening with some sparring.
