Norwich Cycle Speedway

⭐️What's on this week?⭐️

On Tuesday we have club training at Eaton Park this week from 6.30pm. If you would like a go, please wear long trousers and sleeves. We can provide helmets, gloves and bikes!

It was a big weekend for the Stars.

It was the Norfolk finals on Saturday at Spixworth, with 5 Stars riders taking part.
Noah has claimed both the U8 and U10 championships!
Thomas put in four excellent rides to take 2nd in the U13.
Both Kenzie and Zak took podiums in the U16 and the Seniors as well. A good haul of silverware for the Stars!

On Sunday we travelled down to Ipswich Eagles Cycle Speedway for our latest Division 2 and Development match. This turned into a fantastic demonstration of racing with the lead being traded multiple times. A final heat decider eventually left Norwich losing by a single point of 79 to Ipswich's 80. This was followed by the development match where Ipswich brought on some new talent and some good racing was done by all.

And we are underway up at Spixworth for the Norfolk championships!

This weekend sees the Stars taking part in two events:

On Saturday it is the Norfolk championships, over at Spixworth cycle speedway track, with tapes up at 12 noon. Come and see what cycle speedway is all about!

Then on Sunday the Stars are travelling down to Ipswich to take on Ipswich Eagles Cycle Speedway in our next South East Division 2 and Development League fixtures. Tapes up at 12 noon in Ipswich!

On Monday we hosted the 23rd Norwich Guides up at Haford park for what turned out to be a spectacular session!
12 speedsters took to the track and with racing basics quickly picked up on, the session culmintated in some racing before the weather turned on us.

If you are a community group and wish to have a go at cycle speedway, please get in touch! We'd love for you to have a go. We welcome all ages and abilities.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.

The mid week GP that was due to be held at Spixworth this evening has been postponed due to thunderstorms. A new date will be confirmed in due course.

It's a busy week this week!

Tuesday - club training is up at Harford park from 6.15pm. We can provide bikes, helmets and gloves but please do wear long sleeves and trousers if you would like to have a go!

Wednesday - another round of the Norfolk U16 GP takes to the track at Spixworth. 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start please!

Saturday - it's the Norfolk championships, also at Spixworth. Tapes up at 12 noon!

Sunday - the Stars are away against Ipswich Eagles Cycle Speedway in the SE2 and SE Development leagues. Tapes up at 12 noon in Ipswich!

Fantastic results for Stars riders as they battled the elements at Kesgrave today for Round 3 of the South East Grand Prix!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: training is postponed today due to the weather. We've been watching the forecast all day hoping it would improve but it looks like it is staying wet this evening. We hope to see you next week instead!

This month also see the Norfolk Finals being staged at Spixworth on June 13th! Racing starts at 12 noon!
