A quick reminder that the Annual Club Quiz Night and fundraiser is in just over two weeks time. If you have not already booked your places/table then contact Karen Isbill at [email protected]

If you are unable to make up a table of quizzers with other members, family and friends, but would still like to participate, let Karen know and she will arrange for you to be added to another table of quizzers (most of which include Club members).

The entry price of £15 per person includes:

the Quiz,
a Chilli and jacket potato meal midway through the quiz (Veggie option available)
the raffle
the heads and tails.

Please could we ask you to bring the right amount of cash to pay on entry - although we do have a card machine to trial for the first time.

Participants are asked to bring their:

own cutlery
glasses
condiments
drinks
nibbles.
Black bin bags will be provided for rubbish/waste, but could we ask that you take any empty (or part filled) glass bottles home at the end of the evening.

We look forward to welcoming you and your guests on 17 October to enjoy a challenging quiz evening and help us raise valuable funds to help maintain and improve facilities at the Club.

Saturday 17 October 2026 sees the return of our annual Quiz Night fundraiser.

There will be a prize for the top team and a quality raffle and a Prize Heads and Tails knockout game .

Food =Meat or Veggie Chilli and Jacket potatoes with trimings of sour cream/cheese and coriander served at mid point of quiz.

Teams of 8-10 adults on each table.

To book a table for this event email [email protected]. Please state number attending and any dietary requirements

Summary of the event
- Doors open at 6.40pm for 7pm prompt start
- we accept payments by card or cash - £15 per person on night
- Team to bring snacks, drinks, glasses and cutlery.

Quiz will conclude by 10pm

Yesterday 16 members were invited to celebrate our Club’s Centenary at a Centenary Club Celebration hosted by The All England Club, Wimbledon. What a fantastic day was had, as we joined 15 other Clubs from around the country, who were also celebrating their centenary (256 people). Staff at the All England Club did a brilliant job taking groups on tours of the grounds, including Centre Court, the Museum, the media centre and provided an insight by the ground staff, as to how they maintain the courts to such a high standard. The highlight was a few members being given the opportunity to play some tennis on the excellent grass courts - still very green and in great shape. The day concluded with a cocktail party, including kind messages of congratulation, from Sandi Proctor (previous LTA President), to all clubs and volunteers for achieving this milestone. Everyone had the chance to socialise with other club members and enjoy more of the AELTC’s hospitality. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone at the All England Club for giving us such a memorable day.

Second week of Tennis Camps at Blofield Tennis Club run by our LTA licensed coaches. 21 juniors participating in these popular camps. 8 more 3 hour morning sessions to go, the last few places being booked fast.
