Medal Collection
We are delighted to tell you that the medals have finally arrived π
Unfortunately, we are unable to post the medals due to their weight. We do not want to ask the charities to cover the postage costs, as this would take valuable funds away from the services they provide to those who need them most. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience β€οΈ
They will be available for collection from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, 3 July at the clubrooms in Loughmacrory. At that time, you will also have the opportunity to register for this year's Lough 5 at a reduced rate.
As a thank you for your patience regarding the delay in receiving your medals, we are pleased to offer this discounted entry rate for this year's event when picking medals up.
For anyone unable to attend on Friday evening, we will also be available at parkrun on Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for medal collection and registration. Or if you know someone who can pick the medal up for you or members of your club that would be amazing π
Please reach out to us with any queries by directly messaging us.
Thank you again

This is why we do it, folks! π
Every year weβre blown away by the growing number of participants taking on the Lough 5 and the kidsβ fun run πββοΈπββοΈπ¨ β and this year was no exception!
π₯ Record-breaking numbers came together at the Lough, making it our most successful event to date! π
Last night, we were proud to present a fantastic Β£13,000 to our two incredible local charities , Termonmaguirc Friendly Care Group and Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fundβ€οΈπ
This support will go such a long way in helping both organisations continue their amazing work for the community ππ
So once again from the bottom of our hearts thank you to each and every one off you π and we look forward to welcoming you all back to the Lough 5 2026! π
π₯ we should also mention that the medals are still on route, we do appreciate your patience while you wait and the minute they arrive we will let you know βΊοΈ
Thank you

π₯ Medal Update π₯
Lots of messages regarding the medals.
Yes they have been ordered but as we expected they are going to take a while to arrive as we had ordered them 5 months before the actual Lough 5 and they only arrived about 10 days before the actual event.
Once they do arrive we will post it up on the page and arrange an evening for you to come collect your medal and have a handover photo π
We appreciate your patience regarding the medals. We were totally overwhelmed by the unprecedented numbers on NYE and could not have forseen the number of participants and delighted to be in a position to have to order in more medals.
We do this all for our 2 charities, Termonmaguirc Friendly Care Group and Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund. We are all volunteers who are dedicated to both causes so please bear with us as we do our best to ensure you all get your medals once they arrive π
Have a lovely weekend and keep on running πββοΈ
Thank you

Now that the dust has settled around the Lough ποΈ, weβd like to send a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who turned out once again for the Lough 5 π
Your continued support β whether you were running πββοΈπββοΈ, cheering on family and friends π£, or supporting the kidsβ race π§ β truly means more to us than words can say π«
By taking part, you also helped support the two charities at the very heart of this event π
Termonmaguirc Friendly Care Group and Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund β both run by dedicated volunteers π€, with every penny raised going directly towards supporting local families who need it most β€οΈ
Both charities had volunteers on hand on race day, with the two Marys at the helm π, providing refreshments β and the much-enjoyed post-race food π₯ͺπ°
A special thank you to Mullaghmore Bakery, Omagh π₯β¨ for supplying the majority of the bread and sweet treats β your continued support is truly appreciated π
We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of our sponsors whose generosity and continued support make this event possible year after year π
Quite simply, we could not do this without you. Your backing means everything to us and to everyone who takes part π«
Please take a moment to view the photo below featuring all of our sponsors, and where possible, support their businesses β they truly deserve it ππ€
A very special thank you to our main sponsor, Dalyβs Hardware Carrickmore π
π
Your generous support in providing four yearsβ worth of medals has allowed us to introduce a unique stacking medal as we build towards our 20th anniversary in 2028 β something truly special for our runners and a legacy weβre so proud of πββοΈπββοΈβ¨
A massive thank you to our Lough 5 photographerπΈ Dermot McElduff for his beautiful Photography on the day, and magnificent drone footage, you captured the day so well with some very precious photos..and some clinkers!!
Great to have you on board each year to photo these moments! π
Another huge and heartfelt thank you goes to the Order of Malta, Raynet, North West Chip Timing & Balloo Hireπ
Year after year, they return without hesitation, giving their time, expertise, and support to ensure the Lough 5 runs smoothly from start to finish π
We simply couldnβt host such a huge event without these people β they are an essential part of the Lough 5 πββοΈπββοΈβ¨
To our Lough 5 Committee members Benny and Niall who got a crew of volunteers out to make sure the Lough trail was in the best condition possible for race day, and it certainly was!! Again, thank you for your endeavors.π₯³π
Finally, thank you to Loch Mhic Ruairi Naomh Treasa GAA for the use of their excellent facilities, and to the club volunteers who helped ensure the smooth running of the day. We are very fortunate to have such outstanding community support.ππ
