Katie’s first 10-mile run! 🏅

When Katie joined MelFitness two years ago, she set herself a goal: to complete a half marathon in 2026.

Today, she moved one big step closer.

Her strength, confidence and determination have come such a long way and taking on 10 miles is no small achievement.
Next stop: her half marathon!

But this photo represents something even bigger.
Katie crossed the finish line with two incredible women beside her, supporting and encouraging her right to the end.

That’s what MelFitness is about.
It’s more than training, changing your body or looking good in the mirror.
It’s about building confidence, challenging yourself and being surrounded by women who genuinely want to see you succeed.

Women supporting women.
That’s the community we’re building here and I couldn’t be prouder of all three of them. ❤️

Well done, Katie. You earned this.

Where it began… and where I am today.✨✨✨

Looking back at these photos reminds me that fitness has never just been about how I look.
It’s been about everything I’ve learned along the way.

This year hasn’t been about chasing perfection. I’ve had weeks where my training has been consistent and weeks where life has taken priority. And that’s okay.

For a long time, I thought being leaner, smaller or more “perfect” would make me happier. The truth is, there is no perfect.
It’s a standard that keeps moving.

I’ve had two children. I’ve built a business from the ground up. I work hard.
My body carries stretch marks, scars and flaws, but it has also carried me through every challenge I’ve faced.

Do I still want to feel strong and look my best? Of course I do. But I’m no longer willing to let the mirror decide my worth.

I’m choosing balance over obsession.
Progress over perfection.
Gratitude over criticism.

The journey isn’t about becoming perfect.
It’s about becoming healthier, stronger and appreciating the body that’s carried you this far.

Be proud of how far you’ve come, not just how far you think you have left to go. ❤️

She runs because it’s part of who she is not just for the finish lines, but for the discipline, the quiet strength, and the fire it builds in her every single day.
Watching you chase something as big as the Rome Marathon is no surprise, because you put your heart into everything you do. You’re one of the hardest workers I know, and your passion for your fitness shows in every step you take. But more than that, you’re just the best kind of person strong, genuine, and inspiring without even trying.

Good luck 🍀

So proud of you always 🤍

I want to take a moment to recognise .roleston and the incredible progress she has made.

Lucy began training with me on 16/04/2024 at 21 years old.
At the start of her journey
her weight was 14 stone 12.4 lbs, with 40.6% body fat and visceral fat at 6.5.

Today, at 23, Lucy weighs 12 stone 9 lbs, her body fat has reduced to 33.4%, and her visceral fat is now down to 4.

This transformation did not happen overnight. Lucy works full-time as a nurse, often managing long, demanding shifts, yet she has shown consistent commitment to her training, nutrition, and overall lifestyle.
She has learned how to fuel her body properly, train with purpose, and stay disciplined even when life is busy.

Her results are a reflection of hard work, dedication, and consistency over time not quick fixes.
Beyond the physical changes, Lucy has built strength, resilience, and confidence that will support her long term.

I am incredibly proud of the effort she has put in and the mindset she has developed.
She has truly earned these results.

— Proud Coach
