Here are your man of the matches for Saturdays game away at Hemsworth, a disappointing loss in the end against the league leaders. A few injuries and a reshuffle mid game really took its toll as Ossett gave up an early lead to then lose it with the final play. With quite a few key great performances it was difficult to pick this week’s winners.

The coveted Spurr’s butchers voucher and Players voted man of the match went to Shaun Fennell, his first game in the centres and he didn’t look out of place. Scoring a lovely try and defending well all game, Shaun really stood up to be counted and thoroughly deserved to be chosen.

The opposition chose Jack Cawood as their man of the match, Jack was lethal again around the ruck and is really warming into the position of scrum half and making it his own. He is really going to have up his drinking game if he keeps getting man of the match though as his recent efforts in the drink of have left alot to be desired 👀

Ossett RUFC lost out at league leaders Hemsworth RUFC to the last play of the game.
Ossett were desperately unlucky to lose 14-21 and though get a losing bonus point they deserved so much more
Injuries throughout the game did not help the cause, but we go again next week at home to Maltby RUFC
