I genuinely thought he had the wrong person. 😂

When I was first approached about powerlifting, I didn’t see myself as particularly strong or powerful.

But I already had something much more important.

The foundations.

And as my coach told me:

“You’ve got the foundations. We can get you strong.”

He was right.

That eventually took me all the way to representing Team GB. 🇬🇧

Sometimes you don’t need to feel strong enough before you start.

You build the foundations.

Then you build the strength. 💪

Your fitness shouldn’t cost you your life.

You shouldn’t have to give up family time, meals out, weekends away or the things you enjoy just to get stronger.

The point of becoming fitter and healthier is to improve your quality of life.

Not give it up in pursuit of fitness.

Your training needs to work around the life you actually have.

Get stronger to live more. Not less. 💪

Random workouts create random results.

If you have goals for your strength, fitness or health, you need something you can actually follow, repeat and progress.

That doesn’t mean a complicated programme.

A simple plan is enough to remove the guesswork and help you walk into the gym knowing exactly what you’re there to do.

Structure creates strength. 💪

If you’re tired of overthinking your workouts, my free 5 Lift Strength Framework for Overwhelmed Women gives you a simple place to start.

You probably don’t need me to tell you that getting stronger is good for you.

The harder part is protecting the time to actually do it when life gets busy.

Because training is easy to move.

Tomorrow.

Later this week.

When work calms down.

When everyone else is sorted.

But if your training only ever gets whatever time is left over, there often isn’t much left.

Strength training doesn’t need to take over your life.

It needs a realistic place within it.

Because the strength you build in the gym doesn’t stay there.

You get to take it home with you. 💪

So tell me: when life gets busy, what’s usually the first thing to disappear from your week? 👇

You don’t need more motivation.

If every workout starts with:

What should I do today?
How many exercises?
How many sets?
Should I do cardio too?
Am I even doing the right thing?

…no wonder staying consistent feels hard.

The more decisions your training asks you to make, the easier it is to put it off.

Simplify the decisions.
Follow the plan.
Get stronger. 💪

You don’t train just to get better at training.

You train so everyday life feels a little easier.

So carrying the shopping doesn’t feel as heavy.

So picking up your kids feels easier.

So you can walk further, explore more and say yes to the things you actually want to do.

So you can trust what your body is capable of.

The gym is where you build your strength.

Your life is where you get to use it. 💪

And making time for that isn’t taking something away from everything else.

It’s an investment in the woman who gets to live all of it.

What’s something outside the gym that you want to feel stronger for? 👇

Your training plan should work when life is calm.

But more importantly, it should still work when life gets busy.

When work runs late.
When the kids need you.
When you’re tired.

When the week you planned suddenly isn’t the week you’re having.

Sometimes three sessions will become two.
Sometimes an hour becomes 40 minutes.
Sometimes Tuesday’s workout happens on Saturday instead.

That isn’t inconsistency. That’s adapting.
Because consistency isn’t about following your plan perfectly.

It’s about having enough structure that when life happens, you know how to keep moving forward instead of feeling like you have to start again.

Your training should fit your life. Not require your life to fit around your training. 💪

Save this one for your next chaotic week.

The way you think about exercise matters just as much as the exercise you do.

Because if you believe every workout needs to leave you exhausted, more is always better, or you need to feel motivated before you train…

Staying consistent is going to feel much harder than it needs to.

Strong women aren’t necessarily more motivated.

They’ve learned to stop chasing perfect workouts and start building something they can actually repeat.

Train with purpose.
Progress over time.
Keep showing up.

That’s where strength comes from. 💪

Follow for simple, structured strength training that actually fits real life.

There are a lot of things women are taught to believe about exercise that make staying consistent harder than it needs to be.

That a workout only counts if it leaves you exhausted.
That more training automatically means better results.
That you need to wait until you feel motivated.
You don’t.

Strength is built through structured training you can actually repeat, progress and fit into your real life.

Because more isn’t better. Better is better. 💪

Which one have you believed: 1, 2 or 3?
