Rugby Match Report

Peterhead vs Deeside

Peterhead continued their rebuilding process with a committed performance against Deeside.

The home side’s forwards provided plenty of positives, with the line-out working well and the pack making good use of their forwards’ ball to build pressure and provide a solid attacking platform.

However, Deeside’s experience showed, with their fast and agile backs demonstrating the pace and attacking threat that helped explain why they competed in the league above Peterhead last season. When given space, the Deeside backline was quick to exploit it and punish any defensive lapses.

Despite the difference in experience, Peterhead continued to battle throughout and showed encouraging signs from a developing squad. The performance provided plenty to build on as the rebuild continues, particularly in the forwards, while highlighting areas for improvement as the season progresses.
