This , Diabetes UK are on a mission to Let's change how we talk about Diabetes 💙

After a fantastic meeting at the Kirkbymoorside Community Hub, Dr Leila Hummerstone and Amy Paterson (Social Prescribing Link Worker) have set up their first group as part of the Women's Health Project alongside Tamasin Bagby, who runs the hub.

The information sessions will run on the last Tuesday of every month, 18:30pm until 19:30pm and each session will have a different topics to do with women's health (themes and dates below!) The group is open to anyone who feels they may benefit from the session and there is no cost.

At the end of each session, everyone will also have a chance to post any questions they may have into a question box (they will be kept anonymous), if there is anything on someone's mind that may not have touched upon.

They are so incredibly excited to start what will hopefully be an incredible project and we are thoroughly looking forward to getting these sessions off the ground.

Everyone is welcome and we hope to see lots of faces at sessions 🌞

Last October we told you we had secured funding to refurbish the downstairs of the adjacent building to the surgery. We’re delighted to announce that today “Fairfield” officially opened to patients.

It has given us two new rooms which are currently dedicated to the physiotherapists and midwives, freeing up more space and clinical rooms within the surgery.
