The countdown is over.

Our 1st Team pre-season campaign begins this Saturday away to Plymstock United FC as we take the first step towards the 2026/27 season.

Together. One Club. 🔵⚪️🔴

A very positive start to pre-season for both sides today, with valuable minutes in the legs and a highly competitive contest between two strong teams.

The Sunday side came away with a 2–1 victory over the 2nd team in what was an excellent inter-club friendly. The scoreline was secondary to the performance, with both teams showing great commitment, quality, and a real desire to compete.

Conditions were extremely demanding in the heat, making it a tough test physically, but both squads worked hard throughout and can take plenty of positives from the afternoon.

A great way to kick off pre-season, with plenty to build on as we continue our preparations for the new campaign. Well done to everyone involved.

Pre-season gets underway this Saturday as our 2nds and Sunday side go head-to-head in an in-house friendly at Foulston Park🔴⚪️🔵

A chance for both squads to get valuable minutes in the tank, ahead of a busy pre season and the 26/27 campaign. With plenty of quality on show and both teams eager to impress, it promises to be a competitive and entertaining afternoon!

📣2nd team news📣

🔵⚪️🔴A busy few weeks for the PTB 2nds as we continue to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, with a mix of new and familiar faces joining the True Blues.🔴⚪️🔵

Firstly, we’d like to welcome former Elburton Villa wing-back Kieron Toms to the club. An absolute athlete and outstanding full-back, Kieron is a competitive wide player who is just as dangerous going forward as he is solid defensively. We’re delighted to have him on board.

Next, we welcome back Tyler Almond. An incredibly talented young player, Tyler won the Supporters’ Player of the Year award last season with the True Blues First Team. One of the most skilful footballers to pull on a True Blues shirt, Tyler will play a key role in our plans for the 2026/27 campaign.

Another addition to the squad is certainly a familiar face in Danny ‘Dynamite’ Wright. Danny loves this club and has a real passion for the True Blues. He has played a huge part in the club’s success both on and off the pitch, scoring some absolute belters along the way and helping bring home a couple of trophies too 👏🏻. It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome you back, Dynamite Wright.

Lastly, we’re delighted to welcome back Ty Lavis. An experienced centre-half who has featured for the True Blues First Team over the last two seasons, Ty is a natural leader and a commanding presence on the pitch. His experience and vocal leadership will be invaluable, and he sets a fantastic example for our younger players.

Ty will also be joined by his son, Reece Lavis, who begins his first season in men’s football. Reece is a talented and enthusiastic young player who trained with the PTB First Team last season while also representing Mount Gould at youth level. We’re excited to see his development continue and are delighted to have both Ty and Reece on board.

LADIES UPDATE - TOURNAMENT

Despite being on our break from training at the minute a small group of the ladies travelled to Biscovey for their annual tournament.

Whilst tournaments are not bread and butter, they are great opportunities to develop further relations, links and small sided focuses on the pitch.

A fantastic day had at a brilliantly ran tournament, laughter, music and sun - can't ask for anymore!

Narrowly exited the group stage by a singular point as Newquay 'B' faced their counter parts Newquay 'A'.

Tournaments for us are about team days and memories together. The ladies certainly created those off the pitch, with a strong showing on the pitch too, loads of opportunities to learn and gather greater insights to help us move forwards.
