Clevs hasn’t ruled out Argyle making Alex Mitchell’s move to Home Park permanent after a highly successful loan move last season where he quickly became not just one of the first names on the team sheet but one of the biggest fan favourites we’ve seen in a fair few years, however did mention the GK situation was his priority.

With Nathan Baxter on the verge of signing for Argyle with talks very much in the advanced stage should we now be doing everything we can to make sure Mitchell doesn’t go to Wycombe or any other league one club for that matter?

From all the interviews with people in and around the management group and senior management of club seeming pretty confident Tolaj and Pepple won’t be leaving currently that’s not a big concern to be looking for another striker, midfield is almost sorted if not already set in stone, I think we offer Alex whatever he wants as personally I see him as our next captain after Joe!

Alex himself has made it very clear he also wants to be here so I don’t think it would cost as much in wages as we believe it would either, I think he turns Wycombe down for us even if we offer a slightly less wage.
