Joola Plymouth Table Tennis Club is the home to a wide range of players, offering high quality coaching to 5-18 year old's.
The club provides open sessions to the public during the week but also squad sessions which enables a pathway from beginner level to performance level players. We also offer a café with fantastic food at low prices that is available to the public during open hours.

Huge congratulations to Aarif for winning Cadet Group 1! 🥇 And a massive well done to George, who grabbed a hard-fought 2nd place in Cadet Group 2, missing out on the top spot by the thinnest of margins on a three-way countback! 🤯🥈

A very tough day’s play in Alghero at the Sardinian Veterans Open International. Gary Lambert Paul Giles and Paul Whiting all into the main event of the Over 60s, with Paul Giles ending his run in the Semis and Paul Whiting ending Runner Up in the final. Such tough games today.
Both Paul’s are through into the main event of the Over 40s with the Over 60s doubles yet to start.
In the ladies events, Maggie Welsman is playing in the Over 60s and Helen Lambert in the Over 40s. Good luck to all.
Correction to previous post. Paul Giles lost in the semi-final to the eventual winner of the Over 50s singles.
Paul G had a very tough opponent in the quarters which ended his run in the Over 50s. Dave got through his group in the over 70s and went out in the quarters. Doubles start around 6pm.
So both Paul’s and Gary went through to the last 16 with some great wins. Paul W and Gary’s run ended there. Paul G got through to the quarterfinals. Great games all round 🏓

Joola Plymouth TTC are in Sardinia for the Veterans International Open Championships this weekend. Gary and Helen Lambert, Dave and Maggie Welsman, Paul Giles, Paul Whiting with Elaine Short, Carol Giles and Debbie Whiting supporting.
The event started with the over 60s singles - Gary, Paul G and Paul W all won their groups and through to the main event. Helen plays later today in the Over 50s Ladies singles along with Dave and Maggie in the Over 70s. We wish them all the best

While most 14-year-olds are playing on their X-box, or uploading videos to TikTok, Alyssa Nguyen is continuing to make great strides in a sport where she was a national champion at just nine years of age.

Thanks to everyone competing in the first 4-player team event. Gold medals went to Somerset Sabres, silver went to Joola Plymouth 1 and bronze to Bridge Mis-hits.
