Moneyfields Women are delighted to announce the signing of Wales U19 international Emily Wilson from Southampton FC on an academy dual registration for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
The midfielder joins the Moneys after impressing against Jack Randall’s side earlier this year, with the Women’s manager and his coaching staff continuing to monitor her progress in the months since.
Wilson has already made a strong impression during her opening week with the club and will now be available for selection as Moneyfields continue their push in the FA Women’s National League Division One South West.
“We’ve been monitoring Emily from afar for about a month now,” Randall said. “She made a real impression during the game against us earlier in the year and we’ve been really keen on getting her in.
“She adds real quality to our central areas and is going to push the girls we have currently to maintain and push their levels further.
“She comes straight into the squad after a really exciting first week with us and I’m looking forward to her impact.”
Wilson is relishing the opportunity to test herself at a new level and believes the move will provide an important opportunity to continue her development.
“I’m really looking forward to training and playing at this level,” Wilson said. “It’s going to be a new but exciting challenge that I can’t wait to learn and improve from each week. I want to learn as much as I can from this opportunity and to be able to add things to my game from women’s football, while also helping the team as much as I can to push for promotion.”
“I will always give 100% and I like to try and get on the ball as much as possible and dictate play.
Wilson’s arrival adds further competition and quality to an already strong Moneyfields squad, with the Wales youth international now set to continue her development alongside the Moneys for the remainder of the campaign.
