LAP OF THE LAKES…… HERE WE GO!
This challenge is mental…… the magnitude of what Elly is just about to undertake Is hard to quite explain in words….. the swimming volume alone is crazy, but to add in the equivalent of over 3 marathons in between is just mind blowing.

We’re not against GLP 1s in the fat loss world. Far from it.
Used properly, their potential is incredible.
But when professionals start hiding behind statements like this, then we’ve got a problem.
Because reducing your appetite isn’t the same as changing the behaviours that got you there in the first place.
You still need to learn how to eat well.
You still need to understand portions.
You still need to prioritise protein.
You still need to move.
You still need to train.
You still need to build habits you can actually maintain.
A GLP-1 can make fat loss easier. It can give you the breathing room to make those changes without constantly fighting hunger.
But that opportunity should be used to build a new normal.
Because if nothing changes except the medication, what happens when the medication stops?
You haven’t solved the problem. You’ve just temporarily removed one of the biggest barriers.
Use the tool. Take advantage of what it can do. But make sure your lifestyle changes too!

If you want to improve, you have to train differently.
Your mindset can’t be built around trying to be the fastest person in every metcon. At some point, that approach stops moving you forward.
The biggest improvements in performance happen before your heart rate gets high.
They happen while you’re building strength, improving positions, developing skills and learning to move more efficiently.
They happen when you stop avoiding your weaknesses and start treating them as opportunities to improve.
They happen when you understand that different training intensities develop different energy systems and that not every session should leave you completely exhausted.
And they happen when you start fuelling your body properly so you can recover, adapt and continue progressing.
The athletes who continue to improve aren’t always the fittest people in the room. They’re the ones who understand what actually drives progress and spend their time developing those qualities.
If your entire programme revolves around going hard and going fast, don’t be surprised if you look back in six months and realise nothing else has improved.
The GFC Athlete Programme is built on these principles. That’s why our athletes continue to make progress, whether their goal is to become stronger, move better, run faster or simply become fitter for life.
If you’re ready to train with more purpose, send us a message and start your free trial.

🚨NEW TRACK - GFC HYBRID 🚨
Lift heavy. Run fast. Build muscle. Look like you train.
The Hybrid Track is designed to build strength, conditioning and an athletic physique without compromising any one area.
Because there’s no reason you can’t squat heavy, run fast and have the physique to match.
Train hard. Make progress. Repeat.
The Hybrid Track launches on Monday and is included in every GFC Athlete programme subscription.
Your 7 day free trial is waiting in the link in our bio.
Works 100% of the time!
Stop it.
Stop blaming CrossFit for getting you injured.
The research doesn’t support it.
Study after study has shown that CrossFit injury rates are comparable to many other forms of exercise, including running.
The problem isn’t CrossFit.
More often than not, it’s poor programming, poor coaching, or an ego that refuses to scale, reduce load or accept movement limitations.
Too many people treat every session like a competition.
They ignore fatigue.
They chase weights they haven’t earned.
They sacrifice movement quality for a faster time on the whiteboard.
Then they blame CrossFit.
A methodology built around constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity isn’t inherently dangerous.
Doing too much, too soon, with no regard for your current ability is.
Stop blaming the methodology.
