🌟SCOTTISH DISABILITY CHAMPIONSHIP🌟

Congratulations to Gordon Shearer who won the Scottish Disability Championship singles today after winning 6 games throughout the day to claim the gold medal. Gordon also won a bronze medal in the open disability section as well.

Congratulations to Gordon who played fantastic all day to get his 2 medals 🥇🥉 Well done Gordon, we are so proud of you 👏🏼😁

Play is underway at our annual Bickerton Open Triples. The bar is open and catering is available, so why not pop in and see some top bowling 👏🏼

🌟AYRSHIRE UNDER 25 TOP 10🌟

Good luck to Emily Houston, Jamie Noon & their Ayrshire team mates who are part of the Ayrshire Top 10 squad who are playing in the Semi-Final of the Scottish Under 25 Top 10 on Sunday 6th September against the Borders BC 11am. If successful, the team will play in the final at 2pm also on Sunday.

Good luck to Rebecca Houston and her international team mates playing in the Atlantic International Challenge over in Belfast as they face Ireland, USA and Canada across 5 days of competition from 6th-10th September.

On Saturday 5th September, we look forward to welcoming members and visitors to Prestwick Bowling Club for our annual Open Triples, sponsored by the Bickerton family who were long members and great supporters of the club.

💥Groups A & B are asked to report for 9:00am for a 9:30am start for their first game.

💥Groups C & D are asked to report for 9:45am for a 10:15am start for their first game.

☕️Players will get a roll and cuppa before their first game, included in your entry fee.

🚨WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR 1 TEAM FOR THE COMPETITION. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU CAN FILL THIS SPACE🚨

PBC Seniors vs Juniors Cup – What a Night! 🎉

Tonight saw 10 full members take to the green to challenge 10 of our junior members in the first-ever PBC Seniors vs Juniors Cup — and what a fantastic evening it was! 👏

The weather certainly tried its best to dampen things, with drizzle falling throughout the games, but it didn’t dampen the excitement one bit! 🌧️🎯

There were some fabulous bowls, outstanding wickies, and a brilliant display of skill, talent and potential from both sides. At times, it was nail-biting stuff for the spectators! 😲👏

Of course, every competition needs a winner and a runner-up… and this year, the Seniors took home the cup! 🏆🎉

But judging by the talent and determination on show from our Juniors tonight, I don’t think the Seniors will be holding onto it for very long! 😁

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to all the organisers who helped make the evening such a success.

What a brilliant night for PBC — and hopefully the first of many! 💚🎯🏆

🌟PBC JUNIORS VS SENIORS🌟

On Wednesday 2nd September, we will be having our inaugural “Juniors vs. Seniors” Cup, donated by our Seniors convenor Fraser McGarry and Junior convenor Tom Mathieson. This will be a new annual Top 10 competition added to our fixtures.

Closing Day

It is hard to believe, but the 2026 bowling season has come to an end. We have enjoyed some fantastic bowling across the membership, and even the weather stayed reasonably dry.

Our closing day will take place on Saturday 12 September. Please arrive at the club for 2.00 pm, ready for a 2.30 pm start.

Buffet Details

A hot buffet will be served at approximately 5.00 pm. The buffet will cost £9 per person and will include:

Chicken or vegetable curry

Lasagne

Pakora

Other buffet favourites

Come Along and Celebrate

This will be your last official opportunity to play on the greens this season, so come along and enjoy good bowls, good company, and a fitting farewell to the 2026 bowling season.
