After a long wait we are taking on new beginners.
We are enrolling new students for classes on a Monday evening at our National HQ in Rayleigh Essex.
The classes will be conducted by one of James Sinclair's long term students who has over 20 years training experience.
We will always do our best to take on existing students of the Art by placing them in the appropriate level class based on their experience.
If you wish to start your journey into this fabulous Art, please feel free to call 07860 276923 or email us at [email protected]
We are also able to enrol new students in Leicester as we now have a separate 'feeder' class for beginners running on a Thursday evening. Same contact details.
We look forward to getting you on the right path for your journey.

Congratulations to Ethan on passing the Hand Skills second gradings at the Hq last night.
Ethan committed so much of his time and energy to be ready for this grading.
Thanks have to go to the other students at the Hq who helped Ethan’s prep (Colin and Jas in particular) and especially to Master Nick Martin who has guided Ethan weekly with private lessons for a couple of years in his training. This has enabled Ethan to get into the advanced level classes in record time.
A valiant effort was also made by Paul and Steve who took the brave step to put themselves forward and accept the challenge. They got close and are now happy that they experienced real test conditions and know better what to do to prepare for the test next time. A true demonstration of their positive character.
Well done to all three students.
This photo is from last years Gworr Sau seminar which was very well received. Ethan is front row, second from Left.
This years Gworr Sau seminar is on again at the end of this month.
Making the transition from forms to fighting can be difficult and sadly, Chi Sau is simply not enough.
We will be giving our own unique insights and experience to help bridge that gap!
A short extract from one of our live zoom sessions.
In this extract we discuss the somewhat ridiculous idea that Wing Chun Kuen practitioners can kick, hand strike and block simultaneously!!!
Why even try when there are far easier options?
You can strike first*
You can kick first**
You can block
You can intercept with a strike*
You can intercept with a kick**
You can block and strike* simultaneously
You can block and kick** simultaneously
(*strike = most hand techniques. ** = most leg techniques)
However, you can't do all three, and would struggle, even within the limitations and confines of the training methodology of Chi Sau (Sticky Hands), to carry out such a pointless effort.
We expect that we will get a lot of negativity from the 'experts', but such is life!
We are EXPERIMENTING with multiple language subtitles and hope that the translations are at least close to acceptable, and apologise if they are poor. AI has a way to go... You will find subtitles in Arabic, Chinese, English, Hindi, Russian, Spanish.
Click on the three dots, show subtitles and select one the languages. Even the English text helps clarify the speech a little better!
Thank you for your patience.
NOTE: If you genuinely enjoy our tiny extracts you may enjoy the full presentations.
We have hundred of hours of video footage like this, and better, on all aspects of the Art. We are still producing weekly live sessions on Zoom and are due to restart the journey from day 1 soon.
If you wish to follow the Art and learn in a professional and progressive manner, give it a try. Just contact us via email at [email protected]
Thank you.

Been quite a history. Here is a very indulgent journey back through the decades. More than a little embarrassing hair styles!!!
Here is the intro clip to our recent Zoom presentation on Lok Sau.
Lok Sau is a great exercise for developing particular skills in the Art of . A great way to practice and build fast reactive responses, strength and timing, within certain parameters.
These tiny extracts are from the live session and are not demo pieces, simply moments teaching.
Lok Sau is not a universally trained skill in Wing Chun and where it is, it can be a very simple and unrewarding method of training.
In the we use this method to allow students to quickly differentiate the inside and outside gates, the high and mid levels and to relax under pressure from powerful grabs, pulls, hooks and straight strikes. These are of great value in transposing the Art into free sparring. Yes we SPAR, hard!!!
James Sinclair often takes traditional Wing Chun training methodology and creates extra uses that are valuable to take into free fighting. It has been his experience that many exercises have limited value. However, with a bit more work and experimentation, variations can bring even greater rewards.

Some Kicks reminiscent of a moving dummy.
Before you all scream and shout and have hissy fits, try it. Great fun and takes a lot skill and practice.
Not everything is about fighting!
This is free form practice, not set in any manner. Part of the 3rd test syllabus.
