Reading Ladies RFC Reading Ladies is a friendly, competitive team based at Holme Park, Sonning. Training Wednesdays @ 7

Reading Ladies rugby team was formed in 1990 and we have always prided ourselves on working and playing hard on the pitch, and having a brilliant time off the pitch! Over the last 20 years we've grown from strength to strength. We are happy to be Berkshire's most successful women's rugby team and currently play in the SW Championship Division

Reading players have played at county, regional and international level over the years and we have a very proud history. We have players of all ages (from 18 to over 40) and of varying experience and we welcome anyone who wants to pick up an odd shaped ball and run with it (oh, and knock a few people over along the way)! We enjoy a very good social life with regular nights out (always starting and/or finishing at "The Walkabout" as our new "Social Sponsor". It's a great rugby/sporting bar location!!.....and let's not forget our annual tour - a highlight of everyone's calendar! So if you've played rugby before (at Uni, for another club, at school, 7s or touch rugby) or even if you've never played before but know you are interested in learning; then please come down to training on any Wednesday from 7pm - you will always be made very welcome!

Full time against Battersea Ironsides II’s and what a game it was!

Score ended 7 - 12, meaning our Kites start the season strong with a big WIN under our wing 💪

Emma Hooper was awarded back of the match today for her incredible resilience. She started at 10, a position she’s not played before for the Kites and ended up on the wing with then scoring an incredible try! Congratulations Emma 🥂

Katie-Anne Birch (Better known as Kab) was awarded Forward of the Match and Player’s Player! Kab’s carries were strong throughout the game and smashed everyone when the Kites were on the defence! Congratulations Kab 🥂

Onwards and upwards to our next game, which next Sunday is our first game in the National Cup, Guildford Gazelles were coming for you! 💪
