It was an absolute privilege to get to spend the day at Saunton Golf Club a couple of weeks ago - huge shoutout to Elevation Golfing Nation for the invite, and to Matt and Matt for completing an incredibly enjoyable 4-ball!

I’ve been dying to play both courses for the longest time and I can say without any doubt that they both exceeded my expectations. I genuinely don’t think there is a “weak” hole on the entire property, it was bloody fantastic.

As always, my golf was questionable (including a full 18 holes of the shanks), but that aside, I can’t think of many places I’d rather spend the day.

Another new course ticked off the list ✅

I won’t lie, Sidmouth Golf Club caught me by surprise. Set high above Sidmouth, the views across the coastline, both sending you off on the first few holes and welcoming you back down the closing stretch, are pretty spectacular.

As you climb the hillside for the first 10 holes, the course really makes the most of the elevation change, resulting in some pretty dramatic shots. The payoff being a stunning view back down the course and out to the sea. It may not be the longest course, but the undulation and the tight fairways make it a really good test, and give it plenty of character.

All that being said, walking 18 around there is definitely not for the faint-hearted!

I honestly don’t think has one weak par 3 on its entire property.

No joke, this was the ONLY good shot I hit during this whole round…of course it was on camera (shoutout to for the exquisite camera work 🤌🏻).

Golf at Cleeve Hill GC hits very different

The course is steeped in history, has mind blowing views, some beautiful and outrageously fun holes, and arguably one of the best golf club bacon baps around.

There is literally nothing not to love about it.

Burnham and Berrow Golf Club you never fail to completely blow me away!

I’ve been lucky enough to play there several times over the last few years, and each time I’ve been it has been an absolute treat. Everything from how beautiful and challenging the course is, how well it is looked after, the stunning location and even down to how incredibly friendly all the staff are make it comfortably rank amongst my favourite courses - no question about it.

Admittedly the course (and the heat) gave us a bit of a kicking this time round, but my opinion of it well and truly still stands.

The biggest compliment I can give is that it was 100% worth the 8+hr round trip, even though the weather didn’t quite play ball - the course is truly something special!

It was also an absolute pleasure to get to play with and - they were great company! Playing golf with new, likeminded people will always be one of my favourite things to do.

Shooting an 83 and getting another little handicap cut was just the icing on the cake of the day 👀

Massive shoutout to for standing the trip for us, and to everyone at who were all so bloody lovely!
