It’s World Teacher Day and so I have to give a shout out to our amazing teachers Emily and Erin!

Both are so passionate about dance and teaching, and are continuously looking for ways to improve their practice and their student’s experience! They’re champions of lifelong learning both for themselves and within the DWSB community. We’re super proud to have them on the team, completing our DWSB family! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

And as teachers we are so so grateful for all our students who trust us when we’re trying something new, who give every lesson their all, and who show up week after week. We’re amazed and incredibly appreciative of the support we receive from all our students -it actually blows my mind how many dancers have been with us consistently for literally YEARS 🤯 Like… you wanna hang out with us?! 😆🤪🥰

Our lovely Thatcham Silver Swans subconsciously coordinated themselves today in their Royal Academy of Dance t-shirts so of course we had to take a picture!

Grab a brolly and your family, and join Sonia for some theatrical dancing fun in her Singin’ in the Rain masterclass!

You’ll learn some fabulous jazz-style moves to several of your favourite tunes from one of Hollywood’s biggest musicals. No prior experience or special footwear is needed.

Winning the national People’s Choice Award at the One Dance UK Awards in 2025 was most definitely a career highlight 🏆

I specifically remember having the realisation that whilst inclusive dance practice and the pursuit of lifelong learning for older adults is the norm in our DWSB bubble, when mixing with the professional dance community we were doing something that surprised and inspired them, and stretched the boundary of what a dance student looks like. When you’re immersed in something daily you sometimes can forget how unique your role is!

The One Dance UK awards are now open for nominations and so it’s time to offer someone else the opportunity to receive the recognition they deserve!
