Puddle Ducks North Hampshire And Reading Puddle Ducks North Hampshire and Reading delivers individually-tailored swimming lessons for little one's from birth to 10 years old.

Puddle Ducks’ effective, instructor-led baby and child swimming classes are all about fun, confidence and safety in the water. Babies can join our fantastic classes as soon as Mum is ready to get in the water after giving birth. We also teach life-saving skills from six months old, so that should your child ever need them, they have a bank of invaluable skills that could save their life. Each class lasts half an hour and provides a wonderful bonding opportunity for parents and their little ones. We’ve deliberately limited our class sizes to nine. This gives excellent teacher-student ratios and means we can offer truly individually-tailored swimming lessons for babies, toddlers and children that let them learn with other children of their age, all at their own pace. Quality of teaching has always been our top priority, and we’re constantly evolving our teaching programme and methods to make sure your children receive the very best swimming lessons out there. All of our classes take place in specially selected clean, warm pools and combine a carefully balanced set of activities including group and individual work, swimming, submersion, floating (without armbands!), songs and games. We’re big on fun, and our classes incorporate rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research. We’ve even had our unique class soundtracks written by professional musicians. Be warned, the songs are very addictive – you’ll soon be singing them in the bath and in the car! Let’s take a peek at our Swim Academy swimmers during our Water Safety Pyjama Week!👚💦 Puddle Ducks Mid Cheshire 💦

Puddle Ducks Pyjama Week teaches invaluable personal survival skills as well as being lots of fun! All our classes have a water safety element to them every week, however, our Pyjama Week gives all our swimmers an opportunity to see what it might feel like to be wearing clothes in the water.

This week is our annual Charity Pyjama Week where we raise money for Children’s Hospital Pyjamas who donate pyjamas to poorly children staying in hospital. You can also donate to Children’s Hospital Pyjamas by bringing a new pair of pyjamas to your class if your local pool is collecting.

Well done to all of our swimmers, teachers and parents for joining in and having lots of fun in the pool! 💦

Swim Academy PJ lessons kick off tonight - don't forget that your children will need to wear their swimsuits underneath their PJ's (short or long, whatever they're most comfortable in). These lessons are lots of fun, but also deliver a super important message! Can't wait to see you all later 💦

It’s our Water Safety Pyjama Week with our charity partner Children’s Hospital Pyjamas 💦

Puddle Ducks Water Safety Pyjama Week teaches invaluable personal survival skills as well as being lots of fun!
During these special lessons, children (and their grown-ups if in the pool) come to class in their pyjamas and experience what it feels like to swim in clothes. This helps them understand how different the water feels in real-life situations, while still enjoying the songs, games and activities they love.

It’s a brilliant way to give children practical skills and confidence in the water, while also reassuring parents that their little ones know what to do if they ever find themselves in the water unexpectedly.

Our swimmers (and teachers!) always look forward to Pyjama Week - it’s a memorable milestone and a valuable part of your child’s swimming journey.

Puddle Ducks Water Safety Pyjama Week teaches invaluable personal survival skills as well as being lots of fun! At Puddle Ducks we are completely mad about swimming and to prove it we like to encourage all our swimmers, from the youngest to the oldest to participate three times a year in our very popular Pyjama Week.

You can donate to Children’s Hospital Pyjamas by bringing a new pair of pyjamas to your class or donating via our Just Giving page.

Wishing all our swimmers the most wonderful week, don’t forget to bring your pj’s!

What a fantastic achievement! Best friends from
Puddle Ducks to National Championships!

Lottie and her best friend Amber, daughter of Puddle Ducks franchisee Jay Nash (Puddle Ducks Chester, Wirral & North Wales), first splashed into the pool together at Puddle Ducks Holywell Leisure Centre. Fast forward 10 years, after completing the Puddle Ducks programme through to our Elite Swim Academy, these two best friends, now 12 years old, are making waves at the National Swimming Championships competing together for Holywell Swimming Club.

Lottie is excelling in breaststroke while Amber is soaring through the water as an avid butterfly swimmer. From those early Puddle Ducks lessons to competing on the national stage, their journey is a wonderful reminder of how swimming can create friendships and inspire young swimmers to achieve incredible things. Good luck girls, everyone here at Puddle Ducks is cheering you on!

A customer recently responded to an email with this sentence and it got us thinking...we pride ourselves on our customer service. The small things that all add up, that sets us apart from other businesses are so important. So what does the office do to warrant an amazing service?
🤩 Manage siblings into back to back classes, we know how important this is and do our best to get those classes as close to each other as possible.
🤩 Helping new customers understand what their little one needs to wear, how to find the pool and where to go. We've created videos, maps and pdf's with all necessary info.
🤩 Being responsive. We get loads (LOADS) of emails, calls and enquiry forms and every single one is dealt with.
🤩Being personable and friendly, building relationships with customers so they know were we are when they need us
🤩 Great communication with teachers, we all work together and any important info comes back to the office so we can get hold of customers when needed.

If you are one of our customers and have received great customer service, why not give us a thumbs! 👍

Your child’s swimming journey can start at any time but what ‘learn-to-swim’ environment do you want for them?

Swim Academy, brought to you by the child swimming experts at Puddle Ducks, has a supported learning approach that works. We start with our teachers in the water with your child and we keep our ratios small. Why? With a maximum teacher to child ratio of 1:4 we have developed beginner levels that means your child will never wear a fixed buoyancy aid. Our expert teachers can support swimmers on an individual level, to discover their body’s natural buoyancy in the water, a crucial skill were they to ever fall into water.
Our swimmers are involved in their own learning; we teach them cause and effect; we ask them questions and make sure they understand why they are performing certain activities and what it will lead to – the child is empowered to achieve their goals because they know why they are doing it. We build them up as individuals as well as swimmers; every element of our programme advances their confidence and their skills. Swim Academy, brought to you by the experts at Puddle Ducks. Let’s Do This.
