Redcar Rugby Club Welcome to the new home of Redcar Rugby Union Football Club on Facebook!

Redcar Rugby Union Football Club is a social club that caters for a whole host of opportunities from enjoying a drink, taking part in sport, health and fitness to function room bookings for parties, christenings and weddings. The outdoor space is the largest in the town with 6 acres of fully licensed land which is available to support any major events, festivals, rallies or shows, e.g Redcar Rocks, VW Rally to local primary school sports days and competitions. The outdoor area hosts 3 full size rugby pitches, 1 junior pitch, two football pitches it has a well looked after patio area which is a sun trap in the summer months and the club has its own BBQ facilities on request. We are also fully affiliated to the British Caravanning Club with all amenities on hand. It doesn't stop there...inside the club we have three fully licensed bars, function rooms facilities with optional catering and DJ available we have conference/meeting rooms all of these are free to hire based on a deposit of £100. With the full Sky package we are able to offer Live Sport across four screens, and the opportunity to make big events our own with every major game or tournament shown live. We currently run two darts teams, a pool team and have plenty to offer the young children with all of the above available to them as well as table tennis and lots of space to play !!! Children are made very welcome and are allowed in the club Under the age of 14 until 9pm. We have Four state of the art squash courts, fully equipped cardio/resistance and cross fit gym, men’s and ladies changing and showering facilities. 🏉 RRUFC AMSTERDAM TOUR 2027 🇳🇱

After over five years without an overseas tour, Redcar Rugby Club are heading abroad again — this time to Amsterdam.

📅 Friday 28th May – Tuesday 1st June 2027
💷 £550 per person

The tour is open to all members of RRUFC — whether you’re looking to play, support or simply come along and enjoy the trip.

The £550 package includes:

* Transfer from RRUFC to the ferry terminal
* Overnight ferry to and from Amsterdam
* 2-night stay in a 3★ hostel
* 4-person room included in the £550
* RRUFC tour top
* Transport around Amsterdam, including travel to the tour fixture
* Breakfast at the hostel
* Evening meal on the overnight ferry

2-person and single rooms will be available for an additional supplement.

We’ll have rugby, time to explore Amsterdam and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the social side of the tour.

Unfortunately, our Sirens fixture scheduled for today has been called off.

But there’s still plenty happening at Redcar Rugby Club this morning, with junior rugby and food available throughout the morning and into lunchtime.

So why not still head down, support the club and enjoy a bite to eat! 🏉🍔

🏉 RUGBY KITCHEN OF THE YEAR 2026 🏉

Well, this was a lovely surprise! ❤️

I actually had no idea I'd even been entered into Rugby Kitchen of the Year until this plaque was given to me today! 😂

I have looked into the competition and it was huge…

Hundreds of rugby clubs from across the UK entered, and Redcar Rugby Club finished 2nd! 🥈

The award celebrates the people behind rugby club kitchens, the early starts, late finishes and everything that goes into feeding minis, juniors, seniors, players and supporters week after week.

Seeing the incredible judging panel involved, with the final decision made by Pierre Koffmann, and reading the lovely words written about what I do at Redcar made this even more special.

Most weeks I just turn up, cook, feed everyone, somehow sell out again 😂 and start planning the next one!

Thank you so much to the person who secretly entered me, everyone who helps in the kitchen, and everyone who supports Smart Cookie Galley every single week.

A huge thank you as well to The Rugby Journal, Koffmann’s Potatoes for Chefs / The Food Heroes, Rhino Rugby and the amazing judging panel for recognising grassroots rugby kitchens.

This plaque has definitely earned pride of place and will be mounted on the kitchen door shortly. 🏉🔴⚫

The goal is to create a suitable outdoor, heated seating area that everyone can enjoy throughout the colder months.
