ARCH do some fantastic work across Redditch, creating positive opportunities for young people and using sport to bring communities together.
We see first-hand the impact that good youth provision can have - giving young people somewhere safe to go, positive role models around them and opportunities to socialise, stay active and build confidence.
It is also really positive to see West Mercia Police supporting projects like Footy4All and engaging with young people in a positive environment.
Well done to Riz and everyone at ARCH for continuing to make such a positive difference in our community. We’re proud to provide a home for some of that work at Trinity High School. 👏
🤝 Working together to make a difference in Redditch.
West Mercia Police and Arch (Active Redditch Community Hub) are working together to tackle some of the issues that matter most to our communities.
Through partnership working, we are supporting efforts to address anti-social behaviour (ASB) while also providing positive opportunities for young people through youth outreach, sport and community activities.
We know that tackling ASB isn't just about enforcement. It's also about understanding the reasons behind the behaviour, engaging with young people and creating positive alternatives that help build confidence, resilience, and stronger communities.
ARCH's focus on using sport, education, and community engagement to create opportunities for people from all backgrounds fits closely with our approach to prevention and tackling health inequalities.
Officers were very proud and honoured to have attended a recent Footy4all project and presented the awards to the winners.
👮 Inspector Richard Field, Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Police , said:
“We know that policing alone cannot solve some of the challenges facing our communities. The strongest results come when we work alongside organisations that already have trusted relationships within those communities.
“Our partnership with ARCH is about getting upstream — tackling ASB, engaging young people and providing positive opportunities through sport and outreach. By working together, we can help address some of the wider inequalities that can contribute to vulnerability and poor outcomes.
“Ultimately, this is about giving people, particularly our young people, the opportunity to make positive choices and helping to create safer, healthier and more resilient communities across Redditch.”

"Our long-standing partnership with the West Mercia Police Force continues to have great impact for the young people of Redditch, especially around the Central Wards of Redditch"
"We believe it's important to work closely with the local policing team to try and support early intervention and building respect between communities and the policing team. We are providing young people with an avenue to keep positively engaged and live healthier lives using the medium of sport. This has also presented an opportunity for parents and our coaching team to develop relationships with the local community support team too, which is great to see"
