No More Potholes...

For years we all know we've been battling pot holes on the track into the Bike Centre, we knew the solution we wanted.. We couldn't actually do it until the projects around expanding Dales Bike Centre were complete and No More Digging!
This week we've done it..
Arrive the team from R T W Road Restoration Ltd with a lot of big machinery, a talented crew, a lot of milling, crushing, spreading, levelling, grading, rolling, spraying, more spreading and rolling.. We're done.. A brand new track out of the stone that was already there! Plus top layer of fine chippings
Apologies for the disruption to parking this week but we're sure you're gonna love the result 😁

Borderlands Weekend of cycling with Struggle Events is almost with us...

Saturday 12th Sept - Road Cycling Event with a 100km route and a whopping 200km route taking in a handful of classic Yorkshire Dales climbs. Once the riders are on the course with an early kick-off it's business as usual in the cafe, bike hire and bike shop. Follow signs for parking.

Sunday 13th September - Gravel Event with a 100km route or a new 50km option. Stunning and epic route picking out trails on every kind of gravel anyone serious about gravel should ride. Once again riders are off the starting blocks early then it's business as usual in the cafe, bike hire and bike shop.

We're looking forward to an amazing weekend of all things cycling. We shall report back😁

Tour of Britain is gracing our parish this coming weekend and here's what we know..
Saturday 5th Sept
Tour of Britain Stage 4 Helmsley to Leyburn
Check out the route on attached map..

The route on our patch is from Redmire over Greets Moss to 'T' junction and turn right. Uphill past Grinton Youth Hostel into the natural amphitheater that is Cogden Bridge. The riders carry on with Grinton Moor climb to battle out the KOM points near Robin Cross.
Riders battle for the finish line in Leyburn town centre at around 15:20

Road closure to vehicles from Grinton Village to Whipperdale cross roads and Grinton to Redmire have been listed as around 12:30pm-15:30pm.

Parking available in the fields next to Dales Bike Centre from 9am. Info attached

This Vala C 90 Extra Large has a brand new Bosch motor, a warranty replacement with just 1 mile registered. The bike has been a given deep clean & polish and looks almost as new.
