After Friday nights presentation I just want to thank all our players, sponsors and supporters for this season none of this is possible without you.

It’s been a great 1st season under Swinton Athletic where we got our first silverware and gained promotion to the Top division.

The 2025/26 season might be over but preparation for the next season has started.

Anyone interested In coming down to train so we can have a look at you once our pre season starts just drop us a message.

We will be competing in the Mexborough & District Sunday Football League in the Premier Division so we are looking to strengthen our squad and push on.

We are also looking at opportunities for new sponsors to get Involved, please feel free to drop us a message regarding this also as we appreciate anyone that is willing to contribute to making this club better.

FT Result-
Swinton 3-4 White Hart Wadworth

Our season ends in defeat.

The lads gave their all until the last kick off the game and although we found ourselves 1-0 up at halftime we didn’t kick on and make white hart pay as we missed some big chances but credit to white hart they never gave up and took their goals well and probably just edged the game and got what they deserved.

Immensely proud of what the boys have done this season even if we didn’t get exactly what we wanted in the end we still come away with our first piece of silverware as a club in our first season in the Mexborough & District Sunday League and also gained promotion to the Premier Division.

We will make sure we do what’s right to be competitive again in the 26/27 season.

FT Result-
Swinton 2-2 Barnburgh

A tough first half against a young energetic side saw us go into halftime 1-0 down, after the break the lads come out a lot better and it felt like we was starting to get some momentum getting 2 goals in 15 minutes through Steady but we couldn’t make the most of the chances after that and got made to pay as we conceded another sloppy goal.
In the end it was probably a fair result but it gives us a lot to do going in to the last 2 games of the season but we will give it our all.

FT Result-
Swinton 2-1 Hickleton Harriers

A tough game against a good side but the lads worked hard to make sure we got the 3 points.

We went into halftime 2-0 up and we could have scored more after we hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions and some great saves from their keeper, Hickleton got a quick goal straight after halftime to put the pressure on but the lads dug deep to get us over the line.

FT Result-
Swinton 6-0 Cross Keys

The games are coming round quick and on Thursday we took on cross keys where the boys looked to keep the pressure on the 2 teams above them. It took a while to find the first goal but it was a comfortable game without cross keys threatening our goal.
After 25/30 minutes we finally found a way to open the scoring and then never looked back as we could have scored 5/6 more goals on the day.
Today we take on Hickleton Harriers away in a top of the table clash.

FT Result-
Swinton 3-0 Union Jack

A tough game against good opposition the lads battled hard as Union Jack put the pressure on us early in the game, just as we started to get into the game the Union Jack keeper got sin binned leading to a error from the stand in keeper after a shot from distance which led to Boothy following it in to make it 1-0.
1-0 up at halftime and the lads made sure not to take our opponents for granted they kept the pressure on finding a second after another keeper mistake and then the performance was topped off with a top class finish from Reggie.
