WABC Launches New Adaptive Boxing League to Secure Paralympic Future.
The World Adaptive Boxing Council (WABC) has officially established a global adaptive boxing league and Governing body. This strategic initiative is designed to create a structured competition format that demonstrates the sport's global Safety, stability, standardisation, and growing athlete numbers.To achieve official Paralympic recognition, the sport must meet the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) criteria of having at least 34 active national federations all under the same laws. The WABC invites all countries to join the council, participate in the new league, and unite to bring adaptive boxing to the Paralympic stage.Date: November 2026 Organisation: World Adaptive Boxing Council (WABC) Subject: Invitation to Global National Governing Bodies for Paralympic Integration The Pathway to the ParalympicsThe Goal: Achieving official inclusion in the Paralympic Games.The Requirement: A minimum of 34 active member countries is required by the IPC. ASI Cic, Adaptive Sports Innovations is a new business to make sport ‘truly accessible’ to ALL,
set up by founder Colin Wood.
Colin is an ex semi pro Rugby League player and coach for both league and boxing, who came up ideas and innovations to make sport a safer and more inclusive place for all sports person whether able bodied or wheelchair bound.
His own disability of ‘partial’ blindness as well diagnosed with CTE concussion has spurred him on to bring sport to all with safety and inclusion in mind.
We at ASI Cic believe we have something special ahead of us.
The innovations and products we are working on will change sporting accessibility for adaptive sports men and women far beyond what is available now. ASI present to you an opportunity to be a part of a revolution in Adaptive Sports which is a defining moment for adaptive sports from grassroots to professionalism.

ASI are putting together several chairs for a newly formed HYBRID Wheelchair Rugby team to host the first international fixtures in 2027 a World first professional Wheelchair Rugby on Grass showcase GB V USA.
We are honoured to say GB based SRL Scotland Rugby League RFU Home - Scottish RugbyTRY-IT Try It Rugby & RUGBY COLLEGE The College of Rugby supports our vision to deliver a truly all-inclusive rugby union/ league pathway. In addition, We will be working with able-bodied Ex-Internationals to host an exhibition match between The BWR and the Ex-Internationals raising funds for injured players across Great Britain and Ireland.
