One week on and we're still smiling. 🥳

What a day the Houlton Family Fun Day was. Thank you to every single person who came along, got involved and made it so fantastic!

A huge thank you to the incredible Houlton Events Team who put months of work into making the day happen, to our amazing community groups and volunteers and to every resident who came out in the sunshine to join us!

Funds raised on the day went to Back and Forth - Men’s Mental Health. Thank you for supporting something that really matters.

A brand new Multi Use Games Area is planned for Houlton👀

As Houlton continues to grow, so do the spaces and facilities that support our community. 🙌

What's particularly exciting about this project is that it has been shaped by the people who'll use it most. Last year, students from Houlton School worked alongside the Houlton Communities Team and Jupiter Play to share their ideas and help design a space that feels fun, inclusive and welcoming for different ages and interests.

Planned for a location opposite Houlton's much loved play park, the new area will create even more opportunities for young people to be active, socialise and spend time together.

It's nearly time for one of our favourite days of the year!🥳

The Houlton Family Fun Day returns this Saturday! The weather is looking warm, so please come prepared to make the most of the day.☀️

✔️⁠Bring a water bottle and keep hydrated throughout the day
✔️Apply sun cream before you arrive and top it up regularly
✔️⁠Hats, sunglasses and lightweight clothing are a great idea
✔️⁠Take breaks when you need to
✔️ ⁠Please keep an extra eye on little ones, who can get hot much more quickly than adults

This day is sure to be lots of fun, but we also want everyone to stay safe and comfortable while enjoying themselves.

Remember this year, funds raised will support Back and Forth - Men’s Mental Health helping to support important conversations and connections within our local community 💙
