The Houlton Youth Games are back on 7th August, bringing an afternoon of sport, games and activities to the sports pitches at Dollman Farm.
There'll be archery, obstacle courses, tug of war, inflatables, and plenty more to get involved in, with something for all ages from 4 to 18.
This year also marks 100 years of Rugby Radio Station, so we're adding a special community tag rugby match to the day. There'll even be prizes up for grabs for those who take part 🏉 All run in collaboration with The Play Rangers!
It's completely free and there's no need to book. See you all there!

Did you know 2026 has been named the National Year of Reading? 📚
It's a nationwide campaign encouraging more people to rediscover the joy of reading, and here in Houlton we already have a lovely community initiative helping people do exactly that.
Our Book Exchange, located in our community gardens is open for everyone to use. Pick up a book, leave one behind, or simply have a browse the next time you're passing through.
Have you found any great reads in the Book Exchange recently?

Having so much on your doorstep is one of the things people often tell us they love about Houlton 💛
David Lloyd Rugby is right here in the community, with tennis and padel courts, swimming pools, gym facilities, fitness classes and a spa all just on your doorstep.
As we head into summer, it's the perfect time to make the most of the outdoor space and spend time by the pool.

When Rugby Radio Station was built in the 1920s, the main building was designed in a Georgian style. Its striking symmetry, brick detailing and large windows gave it a very different look to other industrial buildings of that time.
100 years later, that same building is now Houlton School 📚
Rather than being removed, many of the original architectural features were carefully restored and incorporated into the school, helping preserve an important piece of Rugby's history while giving it a new purpose for future generations.
And this year is 100 years since Rugby Radio Station first opened. Find out more about what we are doing to celebrate: https://my.houltonrugby.co.uk/whats-on/100yearcelebration123/
