W***y Hoinvilles AFC had the whole park to watch their mentor from but not surprisingly stood close to the children’s playground to watch .

So where will Jamie Malin , another protector to the child abusers at AFC pick for their home pitch this season?

In other news Ashlawn Road has hundreds of children playing at St Andrews RFC on a Sunday morning , mixing with adult footballers!

Rugby Borough Council has been accused of malpractice after it came to light, it was using a ‘trust ‘ lagreement rather than a formal one with the local football league. There are concerns that David Sharpe‘s Rugby and District Sunday football league has been underpaying match fees over a long period without any controls.
A freedom of information request made to the council was replied without the necessary details. John Howes the head of the department in question has refused to reply to the request. He continued to deny there was any agreement between the council and the league despite contrary emails from the department itself. The department stated it had a trust agreement whereby Jamie Malin, fixture secretary , from the league had the keys to the changing rooms and council pitches and allocated them accordingly without any real process for invoicing the facilities used. This has led to concerns about embezzlement from the league in underpaying the costs of pitches. There is no actual fixed practice between the council and the league which shows which pitches have been used and when. The audits expected for both parties don’t seem to have been adhered to, the league has an unqualified treasurer and no certified auditor .
The process has been going for potentially for the whole of David Sharpe tenure as lchairman, which is over six years and the amounts owing could be substantial.

Nice day to see how many of David Sharpe’s teams are trespassing on council pitches this morning .

With a day to go I don’t suppose many of us have got a true idea of what our best starting 11 is our best 20 in the squad is. I’m not too worried about late signings they will blend in as and when it’s a long season, it’s not a problem.
But for me as always is what’s the attitude gonna be of Nuno tomorrow? Is it gonna sit in defend and try and win on the counter? Something we haven’t looked good at at all in preseason or playing with two wingers is he gonna go for it? History says he will play defensive, history also says he got promoted from the championship!
To be fair, I don’t know . Everything suggests he’ll go defensive particularly Burnley away but these teams are the ones we have to put a good show in against and at least get something from it.
Safe journey to the lucky ones going .
