Zinnias had their heads chopped off today but they were too pretty to put straight on the compost!

Got lots of lovely varieties this year I am so looking forward to. With the lack of rain everything has been a bit slow to take off so I am praying for rain! 🌧️

For Rosie the most beautiful bride this weekend, it was a pleasure to create your wedding flowers.

English roses, fluffy alchemilla, sweetpeas, snapdragons, forget-me-nots, the first of the cosmos and the last of the foxgloves completed this very English country garden inspired bouquet.

Happy midsummers day!
The field is finally coming to life it's been a long slow spring and my flowers have struggled but they are off now and we are going to have a bumper mid July onwards!

I've been out watering ahead of what's going to be a stupidly hot week, I'm probably going to do a bit of weeding under an umbrella this week so at least I'm doing something constructive!

Good luck to all you flowers farmers!

Did you know it's British flowers week this week!

Bit late to the party but it's been a busy week!

British flowers week was set up by new covent garden flower market in 2013 and now run by flowers from the farm it is a celebration of all this British flowers. Set up to champion British grown flowers and bring awareness to the industry and get people looking into where their flowers are grown.

As a grower I love British grown flowers, there is nothing quite like them. Their twisty stems, each quirky stem makes every arrangement feel alive. In my floristry I take inspiration from the British countryside creating whimsical style arrangements full of texture, movement and most important character, which British flowers have in abundance!
