Play isn't "just play."

When children climb, jump, balance, crawl and explore, they're doing much more than keeping busy. 🤸

They're developing physical skills, learning how their bodies move, solving problems and discovering what they're capable of.

At Tumble Tots, we use progressive play to create purposeful opportunities for children to move, explore and develop through every stage of the programme.

Because for little ones, play is how they learn.

Play isn't just about keeping little ones busy. 💭

When children pretend, imagine and create their own little worlds, they're also exploring ideas, emotions and different ways of thinking.

A cardboard box becomes a rocket.
A blanket becomes a superhero cape.
A stick becomes absolutely anything.

It might look like make believe to us, but for children, pretend play is a powerful way to explore the world around them. 💛

We love to combine play and learning at Tumble Tots. Explore our classes on the link in bio!

How does your child know what to do next?

It’s called motor planning.

Motor planning is the brain’s ability to work out how the body needs to move to complete an action.

Think about climbing over an obstacle. Your child has to work out where to put their hands, where their feet need to go and how to move their body to get to the other side.

At Tumble Tots, activities such as climbing, balancing, jumping and moving across equipment give children opportunities to practise these skills through movement and play.
