Our senior runners went over to Wing in the final round of the 3 Counties Cross Country to finish up our cross country season. Congratulations to all who competed. Huge congratulations to Nicky Upperton, whose 3rd place finish ensured she maintained her 2nd place in the overall rankings.

Congratulations to all the Biggleswade AC athletes who raced the Bedford 5 and 10 miler last week, it was a very strong turn out despite the flooding causing some alterations to the route. Congratulations to all and those numerous 2nd place age graded finishes.

Congratulations to our four of our runners who took part in this month’s North/Mid Bedfordshire Schools District Cross Country Championships ran well enough to qualify for the upcoming Schools County XC Championships.

Congratulations to both George Hardy and Noah Buckley who both took part in London Indoor Games (U20/Sen) open track & field meeting held at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.

George and Noah both won their races in the U20 400m and U20 60m respectively with new PBs.

Our gang of Biggleswade AC runners headed over to Caddington last weekend for the penultimate round of the 3 Three Counties XC. The final event of the 3 Counties takes place on February 1st over at Leighton Buzzard.

We are very proud of the 16 BAC runners who took part in the County XC Championships last weekend. Great performances by all.

Two individual golds. The first was won by Ben Morris in the U11B race. He, Nathan Cornwall (3rd) and Jacob Hegarty-Powell (5th) also won the first team gold. A fourth U11B runner, Leo Spence, also had a great run on his debut cross country appearance for the club, finishing 6th to make it four BAC runners in the first six! They also won our first of three team golds.

The second was won by Lauren Bone in the U15G race, so retaining her 2024/25 season title and winner’s shield where her name appears alongside Paula Radcliffe who won the same event back in 1988.

The second and third BAC team golds were won by the trio of Rosanna Bartlett, Natalie Morgan and Caroline Donaldson who finished 5th, 10th and 11th, respectively, in the Senior/Veteran (Under 50) Women’s race to win both the senior/veteran and veteran team categories.
