On checking the AirAware map we have a 2 mile exclusion zone around our riding school so we should not have a reapeat of the hazard of low flying seen recently. We have diaried the end date on this exclusion to make sure it is extended. I am sure we are all very relieved to get this granted.

I have some private lessons on Saturday 14th November available with Jamie these are for competent riders NOT LEAD REIN and will be in the large outdoor school: at the moment I can offer an hour at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, the first to email will get these sessions : [email protected]

Happy to announce that the RAF will be avoiding our arena! Having had some very low helicopters overhead recently we now have it in writing!!!!

This course covered analysing horse movement, identifying low grade lameness, incorrect gate and signs of pain, we had 40 videos to assess and Dr Sue Dyson talked through her thoughts on each horse, this is a brilliant training course which I really reccomend.

We have been working with our brilliant team of vets, farrier and bodyworkers over the last couple of weeks to ensure that all our horses move in comfort and correctly. After detailed gait anylasis observing some occasional toe drag, some shortened stride and minor anomalies we set to work with our team. So we have scanned, xrayed, changed how we shoe some of the horses and these are now coming back to work. We consider these barely detectable gait defects to be signs of low level lameness and they have been addressed. We dont believe in waiting until a horse is hopping on 3 legs or unable to move we jump to it and sort it out before it gets anywhere near that stage. So if you hear that your favourite horse is off work - dont be alarmed it is because we set our standards VERY high and treat early to ensure that every horse and pony in our care is truly up to the very demanding job of being a school horse.
