Dear Members, Parents and Guardians and potential new members!

We're excited to explore the idea of bringing back a dedicated Ladies' Club Night at Wem Tennis Club - and we'd love your help in shaping it.

In the past, we ran a weekly ladies' session, but as numbers dipped it made sense to move to mixed club nights. The great news is that our ladies' membership has grown significantly over the last couple of years, and we're now in a strong position to reintroduce a session just for our lady players.

This time, we want to open the door even wider.

Whether you're a current member, a parent or guardian of a junior, or someone who simply fancies giving tennis a try in a friendly, supportive environment - you are warmly invited to take part. The aim is to create a relaxed weekly session where women of all ages and abilities can play, socialise, and feel part of the club community.

Please note: this session is for adults only and is not open to children.

If you're not yet a member, that's absolutely fine. Come along, give it a go, and see how you enjoy it. If it turns out to be something you'd like to continue with, we'd be delighted to welcome you properly with our very competitive reduced first‑year membership plan.

We were thrilled to welcome members back onto our newly repainted courts this Sunday—and what a transformation! They’ve been cleaned, repaired, painted, and treated with a special non-slip coating, making them perfect for winter tennis. Rain or shine, we’re ready for more game time this season!

Tonight we attended the Wem Town Sports & Social sportsperson of the year awards. Congratulations to Paul Ellis who won the over 65s category and Sam Parry who who was commended for his contribution and achievements in the under 15s category. Congratulations both.
