We would love to see as many people as possible supporting our fundraising event at the Olney Rugby Club 7s tournament on Saturday. We will be down at the MUGA (outside court, Olney recreation ground) and we’ll be bringing the netball, the music and all the glittery festival vibes!

All proceeds will go towards providing sporting opportunities for the amazing netballers in our town

Olney Netball Club on Tour 2026!

43 girls…11 adults…47 games of netball…abseiling…kayaking…climbing…zip wire…high ropes…caving…
1 epic club fancy dress effort…2 sleepless nights…a whole lot of team bonding…398 lessons learnt…79 water fights…firm friendships made…TikTok’s…dance moves…1 inflatable pony….45 Karena masks….and hundreds of memories to last and cherish for a lifetime 💜

All of the girls made us incredibly proud both on and off the court and represented our club with pride. With special mention to our Year 10 Diamond squad who were undefeated all weekend and brought home the Condover Cup 🏆🥳

This is more than just a club, it’s a netball family and we couldn’t love it anymore if we tried 💜

Olney Colts are Medal Winners!!!🏅🏅🏅

What a fantastic way to end an incredible season at Benham—bringing home a well-deserved silver medal and being crowned runners up in the NJNL u11 League!🥈

The girls faced three tough games and came away with two wins and one loss. While they played brilliantly throughout, it was the second game against Corby that truly secured their spot—and they came out all guns blazing

Every single player gave it their all, and it paid off with an amazing 8–1 victory. The teamwork on display was outstanding: brilliant spacing, constant communication, and some truly impressive shooting. Their defensive work was also on point with tight marking and great awareness. It was fantastic to see them putting everything they’ve learned in training into action.

We are so proud of everything the girls have achieved this season and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and develop

A huge thank you to the girls that weren’t playing today but came along to cheer for the team, to all the families for their ongoing support, as well as our brilliant junior umpires (Charlotte and Eloise) and parents that covered scoring and duty (Kirsty, Dom and Rowland)

I could not be more proud of the girls today.

This was a strong Corby team. We had a slow start and found ourselves 5/ 6 points behind in the first quarter.

The girls never gave up.
Cecille and Eliza were brilliant in defense. Great shooting Olivia, Emily and Amelia. Super movement mid court Bella and Evie. Bella was everywhere.

With some changes in position and pure determination the game came together and we brought the score back to just a 2 point difference.

All girls were just brilliant and played some wonderful netball.

Loss 35 - 33.

Coaches player; The determination/fight in Eliza was unreal. Despite a knock on her head and not feeling great Eliza was outstanding in defense with a constant stream of interceptions. Well done.

Olney Cubs U10 Match Report - Finishing the season on a win!

Today was our final trip over to Benham for this season. It was so clear the progress the girls have made and it was great to watch them really taking their training onto the court. There was so super movement, flying interceptions and most importantly lots of smiles!

We played 3 experienced teams today but the girls dug deep, really pushing to cause problems for their opponents. What was particularly lovely to see was how they came out from the first game really ready to compete.

Game One vs FP Planets
CPOM - Effie - Excellent space on court. You really thought about making yourself available for passes.

Game 2 vs Netters Emeralds
Hattie - Brilliant interceptions today, working hard to turn the ball over for The Cubs.

Game 3 vs FP Suns WIN 3-1
We couldn’t decided!
Bea - excellent driving into space and interceptions, you really looked to open up the court.
Flo - great movement into space and bringing the ball down the court, rather than across. Also being very brave, playing on after a tumble onto the post base mid way through!

Well done to the whole squad for this indoor season. We are beyond proud of you all. We will now keep training for the outdoor summer season and hope to have some tournaments in the coming months.

Cubs vs MK Netters

Wow…. What a busy morning at Hazeley for our friendly matches against MK Netters.

The squad of ten played five 7-a-side matches against a mix of year 4,5 and 6 players from Netters who have a similar level of experience to our Cubs.

All the girls played a mix of positions, both attack and defence and it was lovely to hear them embracing all the opportunities across the court.

We talked before we started about finding space and being ball-side. The girls listened well and we saw far more spread across the court which meant the opportunities for safe passes were much easier to come by. The girls also put their defensive work from training yesterday into play with lots of up and over arms and some excellent leans under the post.

CPOM Flo and Leia for super defence work against some quick and accurate attackers.

7-0 WIN!
CPOM Bea and Izzy for excellent work attacking in the D where they really worked as a team.

1-1 Draw
CPOM Orla and Evie
For great space and spread across the court.

0-0 DRAW
Daisy and Aoife for super interceptions and tips to disrupt play.

5-5 Draw
CPOM Hattie and Ivy for some excellent shooting and movement in the D.

Coaches Player of the Morning - Aoife
Consistently excellent play. Aoife moved into space and really read the court. She did some brilliant interceptions no matter where on court she was!

All the girls showed how much they’ve learnt and progressed, and they left the court tired but happy….the perfect combination!!

Thank you to Charlotte (U13s) for umpiring and Betsy (U13s) for scoring, and to parents for supporting and taxiing!
