As fit

As fit I'm Andie Stansell and I help everyday people build strong bodies so they can be mobile and active for their entire life. Play your favourite sports.

Run without injury. Play with your kids/grandkids. Your age is not your limiter. Your mindset is. I’ve spent 15 years focussing on my personal health and fitness. Like most people, I have made many mistakes when it comes to nutrition, diets, exercising and lifestyle. During the past 3 years I have researched the reasons why so many diets and fitness programs lack longevity. By qualifying as a Personal Trainer, my goal is to share that knowledge and help you make a real lasting change to your work/life/fitness balance, through creating an achievable routine where you can still enjoy the things you love. My goal is to help you get into the habit of living a healthier, happier and fitter life.

Stop just living with your limitations.
If I hadn't worked this set of stretches, I would have had to abandon my session. My shoulder was not playing today.
After this set of stretches, I was able to complete my heaviest set of dumbbell bench press that has previously been unachievable.
Way more stability in my shoulder. And zero discomfort.

*DISCLAIMER* I'm not a physiotherapist. But I do understand body mechanics and why my shoulder gets stuck. I am pointing out here that what most people live with when it comes to immobility with no actual "injury" or specific condition, can actually be improved within a very short period of time.
If you have actual pain when moving, then you need to see a specialist. For most people, "discomfort" or "blockage" of movement with no real cause, can be trained with a bit of knowledge.

It's crazy isn't it. What we DON'T do for ourselves. I regularly meet people who have already been living with their pain/ache for years without addressing it. Almost as if they expected a magic wand to come and zap the pain away without them having to make any effort. But it doesn't work that way. For most injuries, a dedicated program of strength to improve the muscles surrounding the issue will be enough to change your life for good. But you've got to start. You've got to take the first step, then you've got to stick to it.
Personal Training is a way to create consistent effort with full support from an experienced coach. I have limited space available with cost effective plans in my small group coaching. Personal Training without the price tag.
Tommy's going to get all the care he needs to live his best life. Wouldn't you want that for yourself?

I took 9 days off work. I didn't train during that time. What I did do:
3 days at my parents house in Notts for my dad's 85th birthday πŸŽ‚ Enjoyed every bit of my mums amazing cooking ❀️
3 days in Cornwall exploring the Lizard peninsula with the dogs at a dog-friendly hotel and taking in the southwest coast path. Climbing treacherous cliff faces with Oatie the puppy in one hand. 🐢 Walking thousands of steps daily to take in amazing views. I watched seals bobbing in the water while Mark explained to the dogs what they were. 🀣
3 days at home with local walks including a viaduct that I didn't even know was here (I love a viaduct!)
I ate cooked breakfasts, pasties, ice creams. I baked cakes and pickled my home grown radishes.
I took time on Sunday afternoon for myself and plonked myself in front of the TV for a bit of nostalgic viewing in homage to the late great Tim Curry (I grew up in the 80s watching RHPS several times a month 🫦). I brunched with friends.
I didn't check emails or open client WhatsApp msgs (sorry guys, but you know the drill). And I didn't talk about work once in the entire time. I gave zero fxxks about optimizing my life and questioning whether what I was doing, was right. I just lived doing all the things I love. And it was glorious.

I'm back. Full of rest and zest. Raring to go.
New client take-ons in full swing. πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ’ͺ🏽

Whilst getting stronger for my older self is my main goal, I absolutely have aesthetic goals as much as the next person.
I would like to look physically stronger than I ever have. That should be quite easy for me, as any amount of muscle mass would achieve it since I've always been waif-like. However, building muscle is hard. Even harder when you are starting from very little in the first place.
Anyhoo.... here I am. Apparently looking bigger. And I frickin' love it. ❀️

Thanks Vic for the compliment. You know me well πŸ˜πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

Honestly, I don't put recipe videos in my feed. They are usually in my stories. But, for some reason, this one peaked a lot of interest, so I stuck it here for you.
I am a nutrition coach, a nutrition geek, an ex-restaurateur and general experimenter when it comes to food. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day.
All recipes are my own unless credited.
You can head to my stories where you'll find a "screen shot and save" of this recipe. If you miss it, then comment "choc" and I'll send it to you.

You are welcome πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ½

He might ask for a bit of advice now and again, but the initiative is all his.
I've never asked him to exercise.
He's watched, he's taken interest and has witness me get stronger and overcome difficulties, mental and physical. So he's seen the worth and decided that we are worth keeping strong and healthy for. Us.
We saw ourselves married for 28 years last month. This October will see us 35 years together. His body started niggling with various aches and pains a decade or so ago. 5 years ago, he joined me on my new path. Never in competition. Just supporting each other. We'll never look back.
Find your reason. Wanting a bigger butt or biceps won't be enough. Wanting a better life.... well that's something else πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

Muscles for the win.
You know that little pouch belly that you keep eyeing with disgust. That you keep skipping meals for to get rid of? That one that you got from having your babies?
Shift your focus to your muscles. It'll serve you better. I promise.
