๐Ÿฅ‹The Journey from Red Belt to Black Belt ๐Ÿฅ‹

At ACA Family Karate, Tang Soo Do, earning a Black Belt is about far more than learning techniques or simply spending time in class. It represents commitment, leadership, service and dedication to the art.

๐Ÿ”ด As students progress from Red Belt towards Black Belt, we expect them to demonstrate the qualities of a future Black Belt both inside and outside the Do Jang.

Our expectations include:

๐Ÿฅ‹ Attend one seminar a year to continue learning from senior instructors.

๐Ÿ† Compete in at least one competition, challenging yourself and gaining valuable experience.

๐Ÿ˜‡Behave in a manner expected of a martial artist with honesty, self-control, humility, respect and perseverance; setting a positive example.

๐Ÿ‘Š Help at gradings, supporting the smooth running of our club and learning from the grading process.

๐Ÿค Support the development of a junior student, encouraging others on their own Tang Soo Do journey.

๐Ÿ’ช Lead warm ups and take a session as part of leadership training, building confidence, communication and leadership skills.

๐Ÿ“ข Promote Tang Soo Do, helping to grow our martial arts family and share the benefits of training with others.

๐Ÿ“… Attend the required number of lessons, showing consistency and commitment.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Above all, work hard every single lesson. Every training session is an opportunity to improve your technique, attitude and character.

A Black Belt is not awarded because of the colour around your waistโ€”it is earned through hard work, perseverance, humility, leadership and dedication over time.

Train with purpose. Lead by example. Earn your Black Belt.

Last month was really amazing with a record number of our students taking black belt grading.

The dedication and commitment these students have shown is fantastic, all totally earned.

Fear is part of life journey.

You have to fight your own barriers and face your fear to get the life you want.

Lots of students let fear win, thats why lots leave before even getting to the basics of Black belt, which is actually the real start of the journey.

People make excuses that they donโ€™t have time, they are too tired or they are bored!!!
When really something is scaring them holding them back; easier to run away than face the issue.

Be brave, be strong, teach your child to face issues and work through them, they cannot keep running from everything in life!

Talk to your child, their instructor, their teacher etc and find a way to support development. Face every adversity rise.
