SUMMER SHOWING SHOW – MONDAY 31ST AUGUST! 🐴🌞

Join us at Solihull Riding Club for our fun-filled, friendly and welcoming Unaffiliated Summer Showing Show – with something for everyone!

From Lead Rein, Working Hunter, Family Pony and Cob classes to a fantastic range of ridden and in-hand showing classes for horses and ponies of all types, there’s plenty to enjoy whether you’re new to showing or a regular competitor.

⭐ Change of Judge – Ring 1: We are delighted to welcome Mrs L Stockley-Battams, who will now be judging Ring 1.

🎖️ TSR QUALIFIERS
Selected classes will offer qualification for the Showing Register Amateur of the Year Final, taking place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on 28th & 29th November 2026.

You do not need to be a TSR member to qualify – membership will only be required if you wish to compete at the final.

🐴 Ruby Hughes Dressage Clinic – 24th August! 🐴

We’re excited to welcome Ruby Hughes Dressage back to Solihull for an afternoon of 1:1 dressage coaching.

Ruby has competed up to Grand Prix level and represented Great Britain at five European Championships. As a UKCC Level 2 coach, she is passionate about helping riders of all ages and abilities achieve their goals, with coaching tailored to each individual partnership.

✨ 1:1 sessions – £65 per person
🕞 Session tmes available from 3.30pm – 8pm

Whether you’re looking to improve your training, work towards a goal or gain some fresh ideas, this is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced international rider and coach.

This is a decision we did not think we would be announcing at this stage, with regret, we and Solihull Riding Club announce the cancellation of the Aspen Cooling Ltd Solihull (2) event on 29th and 30th August.

Unfortunately, the low number of entries means that the event is no longer financially viable. Preparing the site in accordance with our planned arrangements and delivering the high standards expected of a British Eventing competition, requires significant investment in manpower, machinery, and associated resources.

Regrettably, the cost of doing so would far outweigh the income from entries received to date.

By making the difficult decision to cancel now, we hope to give competitors as much opportunity as possible to reroute to other British Eventing Official fixtures.

We are extremely disappointed not to be able to welcome competitors, owners, volunteers, and supporters to Solihull this year, and we thank everyone for their understanding and continued support.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Solihull in 2027.

Other BE Fixtures who still have capacity for additional entries, and we would love to see competitors support include:

Wellington International Horse Trials – BE100 & Novice (28th – 31st Aug)
West Wilts Equestrian Centre - BE80, BE90, BE100 & Nov (5th – 6th Sept).

🐴Saturday 22nd August – Carefree & Casual Dressage
Keep it relaxed! No show gear or plaits needed — just correct riding boots and a hat to the required standard. Come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable and enjoy a laid-back day of dressage!

🐴 Sunday 23rd August - Unaffiliated Dressage
Including MCI & SSADL Blue Chip Qualifiers, and SRC vouchers for 1st - 3rd, dependent on emtries.

From Prelim to Grand Prix, plus PYO FEI and Freestyle to Music — something for everyone!
