“As the founder of The Tranquil Treehouse, a local business, I am incredibly proud to sponsor South Shields FC Foundation’s ‘Mariner of the Month.’
Through The Tranquil Treehouse, I support children and young people, their families and school staff to develop emotional wellbeing and regulation, self-esteem and resilience. I work one-to-one with children and families, as well as delivering sessions in schools for small groups and whole classes, alongside providing training, support and guidance for parents and staff.
I’m passionate about helping children and young people develop the skills they need to navigate life, build positive relationships and thrive.
The Foundation’s values of teamwork, perseverance, respect and encouraging children to get active align so closely with my own work and beliefs. My son has played for the Foundation for nearly 6 years and has taken part in so many fantastic opportunities, from Friday Night Football and holiday camps to being a ball boy at South Shields FC matches, so this is a cause that is particularly close to my heart.
As a local business, it’s a privilege to support an organisation that does so much for local children and the wider community. I’m especially pleased to help celebrate young people who show improvement in their skills, effort, attitude and behaviour, recognising that progress comes in many forms.
