Beginners Class this Wednesday evening - Breath in Yoga (Pranayama)

One of the Eight Limbs of Yoga is Pranayama (control of the breath). In this class, we will move through a energising and fun Vinyasa flow with increased focus on the breath and how to link it with movement. This will include an opening and closing pranayama (breathing technique) and meditation.

Here’s some more information about the beginners course starting two weeks today! (Wednesday 9th June)
Key Postures in Yoga: Wednesday 9th June
This first class will focus on the alignment, benefits and modifications of the key postures in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. It will be suitable for all levels and abilities. The key postures will be weaved in along with all the information you need for correct and safe alignment and the variations that can be taken for each posture.
Sun Salutations Simplified: Wednesday 16th June
Sun Salutations are often used as a warm-up for Hatha based classes as they help to warm up the body and focus the mind. This class will be based on the Classical Sun Salutation and the postures that are common within sun salutations. We will go through the safe alignment for the key postures in sun sals and the modifications for each posture.
Balance and Focus: Wednesday 23rd June
During this class, will move through a creative and fun series of balancing postures and twists to focus the mind and create more awareness of our personal centre for balance. This class will focus on activating the core and building strength for holding more challenging balancing postures and beginner inversions.
Breath in Yoga: Wednesday 30th June

Hi everyone!
In June, my Wednesday classes will be slightly different! Each Wednesday class in June will be tailored to beginners/ those who want to learn more about yoga and will introduce a different element of yoga.
This course of four classes will be an introduction to the foundations of the physical practice of yoga (Asana) and breath in yoga (Pranayama) to support your practice. You can choose to do any combination of the classes or the whole course of four!
Beginners Course - The Basics of Yoga Class Schedule

Wednesday Focus Classes: Each week there will be a different focus for the class. These classes will focus on creating more mobility or strength in different parts of the body. These classes are suitable for all abilities and lots of modifications/ variations will be given throughout the class!

Saturday 8th May 10:30-11:15am: Wake Up Vinyasa
This class will focus on waking up the whole body by moving through faster paced yoga flows, creating some heat and energy throughout the body. There will be lots of modifications offered throughout the class to cater for a range of abilities from beginner to intermediate.
Wednesday 12th May 18:15-19:00pm: Spine and Shoulders
This class will be slower than our wake up vinyasa and will focus on creating more mobility and strength in the shoulders and spine. We will move through a range of poses which help to create more movement and release tension built up in the back and the shoulders; ideal for those sitting at a desk all day!
