Hey yogi,

This week we will be connecting with our first three chakras. 

Root or Muladhara

Sacral or Svadhishthana

Solar plexus or Manipura

This will allow us to ground our energy, connect with our emotions and tap into our power. 

The beauty of drawing our awareness to our chakras invites us to align our energy centres. Chakras are seen as spinning wheels of energy and when one of them is out of line it can show up in many different ways. 

Maybe you have noticed recently you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, fatigued or anxious. 

These could all be signs our chakra systems needs a little attention. 

I am excited to share this with you all.

If you would like to catch me before I go I will be at the studio on the following dates/times:

Monday 22nd April 5.30-6.30pm

Monday 29th April 5.30-6.30pm

Monday 13th May 5.30-7pm 

The final class on the 13th May I wanted to do something a little special, as a thank you but also to hold space and to sit with you and say a proper goodbye. I will be holding an opening ceremony with some cacao and creating a space for us to find a deep connection to the universe, then we shall move, breathe and meditate. The desire will be to make this a fun class full of laughter and joy, so I really hope you will be able to attend. This class will have a small addition of £3 in cash to cover the cost of the cacao.

Thursday morning Rise and Shine classes will continue up until 23rd May 6.30-7.15am, if you haven't already taken this class with me it is via zoom and a great way to start the day. I love it as it gets me up and out of bed in the morning, something I have never been good at haha.

Its been a hot minute since I posted on FB, sorry gang. I wanted to let you know about possible chance to catch me over the bank holiday weekend:
Saturday 9.30-10.30am and Monday 5.30-6.30pm, nice and yummy yoga flow sessions. Both classes will be held at Pilates on the Avenue, Padwell Road. You can expect some laughter, some wobbles and shakes with the guarantee you will feel blimin awesome afterwards 😆

Are you seeking a space to relax and completely let surrender?

Join me for a wonderful Yin yoga practice; to breathe, calm and focus the mind while also releasing into the deeper areas of the body.

We will use props in our practice to support us into the poses and allow us to surrender into gravity.

This is a space for like minded people who want to find some solace and maybe even have a little laugh.

It's another week, another step closer, can you feel it.....

The change in the season is always something I feel so connected too, and with this I wanted to make an extra offering;

Yin yoga on Friday 16th February 6.30-7.45pm

Spaces are limited to 8, so we can have plenty of space to explore into our practice. I have limited bolsters so please do let me know if you would like one. Otherwise I will encourage you to bring blankets, cushions or pillows with you. These will just help us to go deeper into the poses.

I am excited for this one, if it goes well, they will become more regular.

Hey yogi,

When we truly allow ourselves a few moments each day to sit in stillness we are able to draw in on the calm and focusing element of the breath. Give it a little go with me right now, using this mantra;

Breathing in, I am aware I am breathing in
Breathing out, I am aware I am breathing out

Can you notice the difference?

This mantra may not look or even sound life changing to you but I know from experience that this is all it takes to bring us here, into the present moment. You will find me each day, sometimes more than once, sitting, sometimes standing, closing my eyes and silently repeating this mantra as I follow the breath.

As you already know I love to share with you what is resonating for me, so you will find us coming to this breath awareness in our upcoming classes.

The New Year is nearly upon us, this has been one hell of a roller coaster year for me and my family so much heart ache and sadness.

But when there is heartache and struggles you some how find a way to move through it and grow stronger.

I feel totally blessed to be able to teach yoga to your beautiful bunch.

How do you feel about trying something new or gifting someone something new, to start in January......

This 6 week course is for beginners and improvers, non-bendy and bendy bodies to come, explore and learn something new in a really relaxed environment.

The word Yoga in Sanskrit translates to 'yoke' or to 'unite'. The absolute beauty of yoga is that the lessons learned on your yoga mat can often be used in our day to day lives.

In this beginners course we will explore yoga as a whole. We will dive into the benefits of the poses, breathwork and meditation, whilst providing a friendly and comfortable space for you to meet like minded people.

Hey yogi,

As always I hope this email finds you well.

I find myself sitting and drinking tea once again, nothing better than a nice cuppa on a chilly evening. 

This email is a little reminder for this coming Sundays Yang to Yin class at Pilates on the Avenue 10.30-12pm.

The calling to teach is forever there, but I have been feeling a longing to be able to hold space for you. 

A space where you feel safe and able to explore and maybe be a little bit playful. 

On the 12th November we will be exploring a practice of Yang to Yin. The Yang element is one of warmth, more active and allowing us to find this perfect balance of stillness which comes from the cooling Yin. 

We will invite some sound, some movement and some stillness.

 We will call in our vibrations and encourage them to become high and inviting. 

We will be curious, playful and as always allow for laughter.

Of course there will be delicious tea, treats and chats to finish up.

This is a class suitable for all levels, where we will invite ourselves to go a little deeper within our practice. Finding the yumminess of the breath, the spaciousness of movement and the relaxation of meditation.

Dutch.....

Dutch is my side kick, through all of life's ups and downs over the last 12 years she has been the one constant.

She has grounded me and shown me so much love, in times when I had no idea how I could ever carry on.

Life is a roller coaster, we don't always have control of situations or things that play out in front of us.

But having a side kick sure helps to keep us present and if your really lucky, keep you laughing.

Dutch has been helping me to plan my classes and this week we are focusing on Dharma, our life's purpose......

I am so excited to be back in the studio this week.

The new schedule will give you the chance to explore your own practice and to meet yourself exactly where you are each and every day.

The flowy yoga class will help to create a sense of peace and space within the mind and create some heat within the body, so you are able to explore each pose a little deeper.

The gentle flow yoga class will be a chance to surrender, to let go just the little bit more. We will flow but in a slower more conscious way, to help bring harmony within the mind and body. You can expect longer holds and deeper meditations.

Although I am here to guide you through your practice, remember it is exactly that; your practice 🙏

The Wim Hof Method - Wim Hof. This is my current read and love the passion of Wim to serve others.
Echo flow yoga - Check out this chick on YouTube, I think I might be a super fan. I had the absolute pleasure of attending one of her workshops on Sunday, it was just what I needed at the moment. I am totally inspired by her work.
Insight timer app - If you haven't heard of this app download it. Meditations, talks, yoga with so many incredible teachers sharing their wisdom.

Hello beautiful yogi,

It has been a hot minute since I have reached out to you and as always I hope this email finds you well.

This has been a year full of emotions and I have truly been riding on that wave. This hasn't always been comfortable and I have been pushed past a lot of my limits; but I am feeling so blessed to have been surrounded and supported by friends, family and most importantly I have been showing up for myself. Holding myself and giving myself the time and space to work through all that has and is still needed. That old saying that time is a healer, really couldn't be more true (for myself anyway).

I am so very excited to let you know that classes are returning from 7th September. I have made a few changes to the schedule and I have set up a booking system which you can access via my profile - In-person and online classes available.

'Slow down. Calm down. Don't worry. Don't hurry. Trust the process.' - Buddha

Lets see if in April we can slow it down a little by connecting to the breath and allowing ourselves to create some space in the body and mind.

Check out the timetable for April classes, a few new ones added on and I am so excited to be able to add a Yin yoga class.

Yin Yoga is a very relaxed, very restorative type of yoga. It is a chance for us to slow down and hold poses for long periods of time. Each pose is supported with bolsters, pillows, blankets and blocks. Time just flies and is great for body and mind!

"Learn to be silent, let your quiet mind listen and absorb" - Pythagoras

When it comes to yoga the phrase 'calm or quiet the mind' comes up a lot. But to actually achieve this can be very difficult.

The wonderful thing about yoga is the tools it offers us, which we can use in nearly all situations.

So rather than sitting down and thinking 'I gotta calm the mind' and getting frustrated with all the chatter which arises, find your connection to the breath. And then use this as a tool to ground down and be present.

Yes the mind will wonder again, and again and probably again. But keep bringing it back to the breath.

Being able to share yoga as whole is why I love teaching so much. There's no perfect pose, just the pose which feels right.

Spaces still available for classes this week, Thursday 6-7pm and Saturday 10-11am.

I am excited to be adding a few more classes to my timetable from April:
Monday 6-7pm- Hatha
Monday 7.15-8.15pm - Yin
