Throughout November we will be continuing our practice with back bends, these postures often require effort and hard work but the benefits that await you on the other side are more than worth it.

Back bends stretch the front of the body and strengthen the back of the body. They are great for improving posture, activating the posterior chain, mobilising the spine, increasing breathing capacity and relieving upper and lower back pain.

One of the most notable benefits is relief from stress and anxiety, by opening the front of the body it allows us release and let go of stress.

This practice will increase the flexibility and range of movement in the spine and the body as a whole, back bends restore your spine to its natural flexibility, this is often missing when we spend our days bent forward, sitting at a desk, driving etc. having more flexibility in your spine will also reduce your probability of injury.

Back bends help to reduce upper and lower back pain if practised regularly and mindfully.

This months practice will stretch those abdominal and internal organs boosting your energy and elevating your mood.

October Classes - Embracing Autumn

It is important that we change with the seasons, just as nature does, we do this by by adapting our daily habits, yoga practice and food choices, as we move into Autumn our October practice will be a grounding one concentrating on moving with the breath, with every move being mindful and slower in our approach. We will be encouraging inner strength in our postures, allowing the breath to lead the movement and focusing on the expansion of the ribs/lungs. X

In our September Classes we will be focusing on staying present in our practice, exploring the techniques and benefits we use to achieve this and learning the 3 part breath.

It will be a Slow Hatha flow allowing us time to turn our attention inwards and reap the benefits of staying present in our practice.

Very excited to announce in conjuction with Pura Vida Eastleigh our first Seasonal detox workshop on Saturday the 29th of September. Get your mind, body and soul ready for Autumn.

We will start at 9.30am with a brief introduction to the day and a mantra, followed by a 90 minutes yoga session. We will then discuss the six tastes in Ayurveda and self rejuvenating techniques. Enjoy an Ayurvedic lunch with all six tastes.
After lunch we will discuss the chakras and how they work with yoga and Reiki self healing. To finish of the day enjoy a short restorative yoga class with pranayama and meditation.

The day will end at 5pm. All this for only £50. There are only 8 spaces. If you are interested please private message us.

I am excited to let you know that I will be starting Hatha Yoga Classes at Fair Oak Village Hall on 7th August 2018.

Class will start at 1830 Hours and finish at 1930 Hours and will run every Tuesday from 7th August.
