1st night back at my home team training 🏑
Really good session to help get the head back in, stick and ball connection 🏑
Max heart rate 176 - loved it! 🥵
Felt it from the warm up but a great workout and got my steps up for the STEPtember challenge 😜
Not so easy for me to get to training these days with responsibilities of my choosing 🙈🐒🐕
Glad I pushed through and made it along. Would be great to see if anyone else would like to get back to playing again… even if for the training - help physical and mental fitness - tonight’s drills involved a lot of focus but it was fun! 🤩

❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Firewalk this Saturday ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
❤️🔥 Enter the competition if you dare ❤️🔥
Here’s some FAQ’s
Q: Are there any prerequisites to firewalk?
A: No prior experience or athletic ability is required. Firewalking is a psychological and emotional challenge rather than a physical feat. If you can walk at a normal pace, you can participate. We provide a comprehensive seminar beforehand to prepare you fully.
Q: Will I actually burn my feet?
A: While we are walking on glowing embers, the “briefing” and specific techniques we teach are designed to maximise your safety. While there is always a minimal risk of a small “fire kiss” (a tiny blister), we aim to prepare you to have the best possible experience.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear comfortable, casual clothes. You will need to be able to roll your trousers up above your ankles, as you must be barefoot to walk. Avoid long, flowing skirts or highly flammable synthetic fabrics.
Q: Can I bring friends or family to watch?
A: Spectators are very welcome to witness your breakthrough at this Friends of Craigtoun charity fundraising event. Having a “support crew” can add to the energy of the evening, though we recommend they arrive in time for the walk itself, as the pre-walk seminar is for participants only. At personal development events, Kick Ash Firwalks do not permit spectators as participants may well be experiencing powerful, emotional shift whilst participating and we feel this should be a private experience.
Q: Can I still sign up?
A: YES! We have a limited number of spaces left and to sign up, please follow this link: https://www.friendsofcraigtoun.org.uk/events/craigtoun-kicks-ash

Sometimes the challenges we choose for ourselves are the ones that help us discover just how strong, capable and resilient we really are.
We can spend a lot of time trying to avoid fear… but what happens when we turn towards it instead? When we challenge ourselves, step outside our comfort zone and do something that makes us feel ALIVE? ❤️🔥
Well… I was so excited to sign up for this firewalk that I accidentally signed up TWICE! 😂🔥
I’ve got an extra place to give away in x3 easy steps ⬇️

Then… get ready to face the fear, challenge yourself and find out what you’re capable of! 🔥🙌
I genuinely believe that resilience isn't built by staying comfortable. Sometimes we grow by choosing the challenge, taking the leap and proving to ourselves that fear doesn't have to be the thing that stops us.
So… are you brave enough to walk on fire? 🔥👣
⚠️ Please note: This competition is facilitated by Fiona Oxley MHEC and is not facilitated by Craigtoun Country Park.
Good luck! ❤️🔥

Schools are back in Fife today! 🥳📚
Before the summer holidays, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting two local primary schools — Dairsie and Strathkinness — in my role as a Mental Health & Exercise Coach 🧠💪🏼
Both schools were holding their own Wellbeing Week 🌈 and it was fantastic to see just how much knowledge and enthusiasm the children and teaching staff already have around health and wellbeing.
They even had dedicated wellbeing spaces — including a homemade gym! 🏋🏻♀️👏🏼
We explored lots of different topics, from how physical activity can benefit all aspects of our health, to the fascinating ways exercise and wellbeing link into other areas of learning, including biology and chemistry 🧬🧪
And, of course, we didn’t just talk about being active… we got moving too! 😜 We tried different ways to boost our energy, have fun, relax and reset 🧘🏼♀️⚡️
It was such a pleasure to spend time with the pupils and staff, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been invited back 💚
I’m looking forward to continuing the conversation around movement, mental health and wellbeing throughout the 2026/27 academic year and sharing more learning, laughter and positive experiences along the way! 👩🏼🎓✨

Thank you to EVERYONE who supported me taking part in the Kiltwalk 2026! 👣
Starting with a bit of healthy FEAR and finishing with a sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT for Craigtoun! 😜
Feeling grateful for ALL the support along the way! 🤩
20 MILES. DONE ❤️👣
WE DID IT!
20 miles completed for Friends of Craigtoun Park 🎉
What a day 🤩
There were laughs, sore feet, questionable decisions, lots of walking, plenty of encouragement — and a huge amount of love and support for Craigtoun 🥳
I’m so proud that we could take on this challenge together for a place that means so much to our community 🥰
As someone who cares deeply about community engagement, inclusion, mental wellbeing and the role that movement can play in helping people feel connected, today brought so many of those things together 🫶🏻
And the biggest thank you goes to you! To everyone who donated, shared our posts, sent us messages, cheered us on, followed the Lives or simply thought of us while we were putting one foot in front of the other — thank you ❤️
We’ve raised an incredible amount so far, which will help Friends of Craigtoun continue its work for our community.
20 miles seemed like a long way this morning.
Right now…
it feels absolutely worth it ❤️

WE'RE NEARLY THERE! ❤️👣
17/18 miles down and we can almost see the finish line! 🌁
There have definitely been moments today where we've questioned our life choices 😂 — but there have also been so many lovely moments of laughter, encouragement, conversation and community 🥰
And that's what we’ll take from today 🫶🏻
Thank you to every single person who has supported us today 🎉
Final miles…
