π£ Another Year. Another Duck Pond Social. π£
Some fishing trips become part of the calendar β and this is one of them.
Mitch was back on the Duck Pond this week for another of their yearly socials, joined by his dad Simon and good friends Dean and Levi.
And judging by the number of catch photos they sent us, there was plenty of action along the way! ππΈ
Most of the fish came to wafters presented in solid bags, with the group making the most of having the Duck Pond to themselves.
But we particularly liked that this wasn't their first trip together.
It's become a yearly event β a few days away, plenty of fishing and another set of memories to add to the previous visits.

π£ 30 Minutes Left... Time for a Change of Plan! π£
A cracking session on Dam Pool for Rian, with three carp coming at three very different points in his visit.
The first came just 30 minutes into the session, before everything went quiet.
It wasn't until sunset that the next opportunity arrived, producing a lovely old common β followed by another quiet spell through to the morning.
Then, with only 30 minutes of the session remaining, Rian spotted the fish feeding on the surface and decided it was time for a change of plan.
He introduced some bread, got them feeding... and one took it almost straight away.
One final common to finish the session! ππ
The other two fish came on Slip-D and Spinner Rigs with 18mm Mainline Cell boilies, but it was adapting to what was happening in front of him that produced that last-minute bonus.

π£ **Four PBs in One Session for 7-Year-Old Jack!** π£
This is one of those reports that tells the story far better than simply giving you the weight of the fish.
Seven-year-old **Jack visited Lodge Pool with his dad**, fishing Peg 28 for a 24-hour session β and what a session it turned out to be.
Jack has been fishing since he was just **two years old**, and over the last couple of years he's started joining his dad for carp fishing and nights on the bank.
This time he finished the session having broken his **personal best FOUR times**, eventually taking it all the way up to this fantastic **24lb 10oz mirror!** ππ
And Jack was very much involved in making it happen.
He **picked his own spot and chose his own hookbait**, settling on a small Frank Warwick wafter, with mixed Parker Baits pellets and 15mm boilies around it.
Around 30 minutes after placing the rig, Jack's alarm ripped off.
He jumped into action and started playing the fish himself before it managed to pick up his other line. Dad stepped in to help sort out the chaos, before Jack continued and helped guide his new PB safely into the net.
Dad said he had a feeling it was something special as soon as the fish rolled over the net cord...
**24lb 10oz. New PB. And the fourth PB of Jack's session.** β€οΈπ£

And we'll leave the final words to Jack and his dad, who wanted to thank everyone at Baden Hall β with a special mention for **Charlie, our bailiff**, for looking after them during their visit.
Apparently Jack hasn't stopped talking about coming back since. π
After a session like that, we're not surprised!
**Brilliant angling Jack. We'll see you both again soon.** ππ£

π£ Four Carp & a New PB! π£
Another brilliant report from one of our younger anglers, who enjoyed an βabsolutely amazing timeβ at Baden Hall and finished his session with four carp. ππ
The highlight was this cracking 16lb 9oz carp β a new PB!
It fell to a small solid bag of mini mixed pellets with an Active Krill wafter, and we particularly liked that he even included the weather conditions in his report β 23Β°C with an 18km/h wind. He's making our job easy! ππ¦οΈ

π£ What a Carp for 8-Year-Old Bobby! ππ£
A brilliant catch from Middle Pool for young Bobby, who at just 8 years old landed this cracking 21lb common from Peg 11! π
Bobby caught the fish using Essential Cell, with a scattering of loose boilies around the hookbait.
At 21lb that's a fantastic carp for any angler β but at eight years old, it's one Bobby should remember for a very long time. π

β οΈ Litter, BBQs & Fires β An Important Reminder
With the continued dry weather, we'd like to remind everyone of two important rules when visiting the fishery.
π₯ No BBQs or fires of any kind
This applies across the fishery. With the ground and surrounding vegetation currently extremely dry, the fire risk is simply too high.
ποΈ Please take your litter home
The overwhelming majority of anglers leave their swims exactly as they found them, and we're very grateful for that. Unfortunately, we are still finding litter left behind on occasions.
Baden Hall is a beautiful place to fish and we want to keep it that way. Please take everything you bring with you away again β including line, packaging, bottles, cans and food waste.
These aren't difficult rules, but they are important ones.
Enjoy the fishing. Respect the fishery. Leave your swim as you found it.
Thank you to everyone who already does exactly that. π£
