🚲 Stewarton Community Pump Track – bringing the plans to life! 🛹🛴

Ever wondered what the proposed Stewarton Community Pump Track could look like? 👀

On-Track is our preferred contractor and we’re sharing a look at the plans for the proposed track, its different riding lines, and some inspiration showing what it's features could look like when built.

The idea is to create a space for all ages and abilities, bringing together cyclists, skateboarders, scooter riders and wheelers in one place. 💚

It would offer 170m of wheeled fun! From beginners flowing berms and rollers to more challenging lines for experienced riders, with progressive jumps, transitions and integrated grind features, there’s plenty to get excited about! ......and let's not forget the new safety fencing surrounding the track and access path into the astro pitch.

We are now using these designs to engage with EAC to progress the request for a Community Asset Transfer for the land beside the Rose Reilly Sports Centre Stewarton. We will keep you up to date with this. ✌️🤞

Scottish Government Outdoor Access Review

Have your say in this review of The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, which gave people the right to access most land and inland water in Scotland, as long as they do so responsibly.

The Scottish Parliament examines what the Scottish Government is doing, makes new laws on devolved matters and debates the issues of the day.

Coming soon - the Overlee Park pump track! 🚲

In partnership with Netherlee and Stamperland Community Council, we'll be officially opening the new pump track on Sat 3 Oct at 1pm - so come along and have some fun on this fantastic new facility. 🤩

The pump track is an undulating asphalt track, similar to a skate park, which can be used by bikes, scooters, wheelchairs and skateboards, providing outdoor activities and exercise for all. Funding for this was secured from sportscotland, the East Renfrewshire Renewable Energy Fund and the Scottish Government Place Based Investment Programme, as well as our capital funding and generous donations from the local community. 👩🏼‍🦽
