Reminder to clubs that the Somerset communication meeting is on Saturday 17th October 10 am - 12 pm

Please send a club representative if possible to this event .

Also a reminder that the membership mop up affiliation form is due in to Somerset county secretary by 20th September .

There are a number of clubs who haven’t sent this back yet !

Pictured our two Bowls England Junior Internationals Oli Collins & Madi King who competed at Leamington Spa this weekend in the British Isles Junior Championships.

The Boys won the title with the last game against Scotland going down to the last bowl.

The Girls finished second to a last end measure.

Two equally close games!

Great day of bowling at Ashcombe Park, 8 clubs playing the semifinals and finals of the Fear Cup and Plate. Well done to every player and special congratulations to the Plate winners Bloomfield and Cup winners Ilminster 🙌🙌

AUTUMN COMMUNICATION MEETING

Saturday 17th October 2026. 10.00am start.
Mark Village Hall. TA9 4NY. (next to Mark Moor Bowls Club).
Following the success of the new format of the Spring Communication Meeting, we have, as promised
arranged a follow-up meeting to give clubs the opportunity to provide feedback to shape the future of
the County, and enable us to improve the way we help and support our clubs and members.

We encourage every club to attend and share their views.

Today is the final day of Somerset involvement!

Following a 4-0 victory over Herts, Clevedon Bowling Club progressed to the Semi-Final of the ladies Top Club.

This morning they face the home team of Royal Leamington Spa, if successful the lunch time Final will be against either Cleethorpes or Kings!

Apologies, The day 15 post has disappeared into the ether, so I'll cover Days 15 & 16 now!

Day 15:
The 9am session saw wins for Kimi (L64) & Stef (L16).
At 12:30 Louis (L32) Lost by 4.
So in the 4pm session Kimi Lost by 6, and Stef in the 1/4 final lost by 8.

Day 16:
12:45:
Taunton Bowling Club were in Club Two Fours 1/4 final action against Worcester, a late surge that brought Taunton back within touching distance couldn't be sustained, eventually finishing in a 7 shot defeat
4:30:
In the Mixed Fours 1/4 Final, Victoria Bowls Club WSM consisting of Fiona Waters, Peter Sloman, Imogen Cracknell & Dan Nutt lost by 11 to Royal Mail Cart - Lincs.

On to today, Day 17, our last representatives at this year's Bowls England National Finals:
Clevedon Bowling Club are in Ladies Top Club 1/4 final Action against Herts - Hertfordshire at 12:45.

Day 14 report:
Oh so close for the Ladies Pair of Madi and Olivia losing by 1 shot in the Semi Final!
In the Ladies Singles Imogen lost in her first match by 5.
Whereas Stef won both games to progress into the Last 16.
