The U13s took two teams to the Highworth Tournament on Sunday afternoon, enjoying some lovely dry weather.

The B Team started slowly but grew into the tournament, producing some strong performances and only narrowly missing out on a place in the knockout stages.

The A Team never quite found their rhythm and, despite plenty of effort and determination, couldn’t get firing on all cylinders.

Most importantly, it was another afternoon of valuable game time, experience, and development for all the players. Well done to everyone who took part and represented the club brilliantly. πŸ’™βš½

Today marked the Pumas’ first tournament at U13 level, and what a valuable experience it proved to be.
We knew the challenge would be tough, with the team coming up against strong opposition from Division 2 through to Division 4. The results may not have gone our way on every occasion, but what stood out was the effort, attitude, and determination shown by every player throughout the day.
Testing ourselves against teams with greater pace, physicality, and experience is exactly what helps us grow, and the team embraced the challenge from start to finish. Every game provided valuable lessons as we continue preparing for the season ahead.
A huge thank you to all the parents for your fantastic support on the sidelinesβ€”it never goes unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by the players and coaches alike.
We take the positives, learn from the experience, and keep building. The future is bright for this group. πŸ’ͺ⚽
The football was tough, but we did manage to squeeze in a decent photoshoot too! πŸ“ΈπŸ™‚

U10s’ first tournament of the summer… although the weather didn’t get the memo! β˜”οΈπŸ˜œ

The boys grew into the tournament with every game, playing some fantastic football throughout the day. Their hard work and determination paid off as they went through the knockout stages without conceding a single goal and lifted the trophy at the end of it all. πŸ†

Every one of the lads did the club proud today, and a special mention to the parents who stood in the rain cheering them on from start to finish. Definitely worth getting soaked for! πŸ’ͺ🏼

⚽️ Supermarine Sixes – U13s Update ⚽️

The U13s were in action at the Supermarine Sixes on Saturday afternoon and put in a fantastic performance throughout the tournament.

Playing some composed and controlled football, Ferndale progressed to the quarter-finals before holding their nerve in a penalty shootout to secure a place in the semi-finals. A comfortable semi-final victory then set up an exciting final against Supermarine White.

The final was a thrilling end-to-end contest, with neither side able to find a winner in normal time, sending the match to penalties. In a nail-biting shootout, Ferndale were unfortunate not to convert their fourth penalty, allowing Supermarine White to take the trophy.

A brilliant effort from every player involved and a tournament to be proud of. Well done, Ferndale! πŸ‘βš½οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›

βš½οΈπŸ¦… U12 Eagles Tournament Update πŸ¦…βš½οΈ

The U12 Eagles were in tournament action at Malmesbury today. Despite the wet conditions, it just wasn’t our day. After battling all the way to the Europa League final, the team suffered the heartbreak of losing on penalties.

A cruel way to miss out after a fantastic effort throughout the tournament, but we’re incredibly proud of how they competed, showed character, and never gave up. πŸ’ͺ

Heads up, learn from it, and onto the next one. Well done, Eagles! πŸ‘πŸ¦…βš½οΈ
