I’m really happy to be walking for the Royal Marsden on Sunday. We’ve been training for 10 weeks and had lots of fun on the way.
The Royal Marsden are really stepping it up now with integrated medicine. Why not take on a challenge yourself to support them or make a donation?

Here’s an extract from their latest magazine:
The importance of holistic care in cancer treatment
Professor Sanjay Popat, Chief Medical Officer at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“At the heart of The Royal Marsden, the new Centre for Holistic Wellbeing and Recovery, which The Princesses’ National Three Peaks Challenge so generously supports, will drive the change needed to support more people living through and beyond a cancer diagnosis. By putting holistic care at the heart of clinical treatment, patients will be empowered, feel more in control, more confident and better equipped for life beyond cancer.”
Holistic care is about supporting the whole person – integrating physical, emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing alongside clinical care. As a specialist cancer centre, The Royal Marsden recognises the need for whole-person cancer treatment and care across the UK and beyond.
By developing and testing this approach further, we can create a proven model for holistic cancer care. This evidence can then be used to help shape how people with cancer across the UK are supported in the future. The goal is to create a blueprint for change, so this supportive care becomes a standard part of cancer treatment nationally.
