Sadly no DC at RUTR :(

💢Sometimes you just have to say it as it is.💢

We were really looking forward to being trackside this weekend, supporting the riders, customers and BMX community as we always do.

Unfortunately, we've now been told that DC Cycles will no longer be able to trade at the event because there is “not enough space.”
Obviously, we're disappointed.😣

We've supported BMX racing for years.

We've turned up, supported riders, supported clubs, invested in the community and travelled up and down the country to be there for the people who support us.

It's disappointing when things don't quite work out as planned, particularly when we'd been looking forward to being there and supporting everyone this weekend.

But there are no hard feelings from us.

🤔 These things seem to happen a lot to DC , and we'll continue doing what we've always done — supporting BMX, supporting our customers and supporting the riders and families who make this sport what it is. ❤️

If you were hoping to grab something from us this weekend, drop us a message beforehand and we'll see what we can do.

And to everyone racing at Manchester this weekend — good luck, go fast and enjoy it! 👊🔥

We’re giving the track a Halloween makeover 👻

HALLOWEEN OPEN SESSION
🎃 Saturday 24th October
🕒 3pm to 7pm

Bring the kids, bring the bikes and let’s have a bit of fun.

Fancy dress? Absolutely encouraged.
Pumpkin carving? Yep.
Halloween food? Obviously.
Riding BMX? That’s the important bit.

There’ll be prizes for the best costumes, a pumpkin carving competition and some properly spooky specials in the tuck shop.

No racing. No pressure. Just a good old-fashioned afternoon at the BMX track.

And don’t worry if you’re new to BMX. Everyone’s welcome.

Are there any other sports where complete beginners share the same track or field as world class riders out training but also in a safe environment?
We had over 15 complete beginners on track with top class national riders today, all out doing what they love…. Riding bikes!

THAT’S WHAT TELFORD FLYERS IS ALL ABOUT 💙

Tonight’s EGM was a brilliant example of club spirit.

It was great to see so many members join, get involved, ask questions and be part of the conversation about where the club goes next.

Telford Flyers is built on volunteers. The people who coach, marshal, organise, look after the club and make sure the gates keep opening.

And right now, we’d love a few more people to get involved.

We’re looking for expressions of interest for:

Treasurer
Welfare (Training and DBS checks will be provided)
Funding

We’ll share more details about each role soon.

If you’ve got some time to give, have skills that could help, or simply want to support the club and its riders, we’d love to have a chat.

Fancy a ride?

We’re opening the track to everyone tomorrow 12–2pm.

Never ridden BMX before? Come and have a go.
Already ride? Bring your bike and send it.

No membership. No pressure. Just bikes, laps and a good couple of hours at the track.

Don’t have the kit? No problem. Bike and helmet hire is available, so you can turn up and give it a go.

IMPORTANT CLUB UPDATE: EGM THIS FRIDAY

We’re holding an Extraordinary General Meeting online this Friday at 8pm and we’d really encourage members to join us.

There have been some important changes at Telford Flyers, including our move to become a Community Interest Company (CIC) and a new governance structure to make sure the club is run properly, sustainably and in line with the requirements we need to meet.

We’ll explain why the CIC change has been made, what the new structure looks like, what recent committee resignations mean for the club, and where we now need more volunteers to help us move forward.

Most importantly, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and understand what comes next.

Telford Flyers is a volunteer-run club and it belongs to the community around it. If you’re a member, this is a good chance to hear the update directly and be part of the conversation.
